Overall this was an ok hotel. The staff was nice and friendly. The price was affordable. I will say the breakfast I felt was a little limited for the cost associated with it but it was fresh and good. The room we had the water closet was honestly incredibly small and as someone 6’4” it was difficult with the door closed. They did limit the heat and area conditioning so rooms were a bit stuffy. Location was about 2 longer blocks away from main shops and restaurant area and very short walk to the train station. But in a safe area. Hallways were a bit dark. If you are on a budget and looking to use Toulouse as a base camp to travel to different locations in the area I would say this is a great spot otherwise you many want to expand your search on other options.

7 mature males in Toulouse from Wales on the way to Perpignan to watch a Rugby game. Stayed 1 night at the hotel. The hotel is conveniently placed in Toulouse and absolutely perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the numerous and varied restaurants and bars. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious. Although a continental breakfast, the variety of food was excellent and you could have any amount of food, juices and tea/coffee as you wanted.

Very convenient for the train station (literally across the road) & the bus station (just a little further away) which suited me & then really easy to walk anywhere in the city. Staff were all friendly & helpful e.g. storing my bag at the beginning & end of my stay, to fit around my travel times.

Overall it was a great stay. The room was large and very clean. The hotel was also right across from the train station. It was very easy to get to to lourdes and other neighboring destinations. The staff were also friendly.

Room as clean and had enoug room for me and I am big guy. Bathroom was great nicely sized. Shower was excellent. Room facing courtyard was great. Room was warm but once I put the heating off it was great. Staff were really nice and helpful. Location great right opposite train station. Airport bus doesn't drop you off right out side probs a 5 min walk BUT the stoip to board is opposite. Breakfast had enough choices and food 0- recommend going very early. would happily stay again

Great hotel for a budget

10-15 minute walk into the centre of Toulouse, or walk across the street and get the underground. We’ve stayed here twice and it’s basic but great if you’re travelling on a budget. The rooms are a great size and the beds are huge and super comfortable

Convenient and Good Value

The Matabi is ideal for travellers wanting easy access to Gare Matabiau. Bed was very good, and it’s good to get aircon at this price range. It’s good for the price.
