"We had a great stay at the Old Brewery Barn with our children (7 months and 2.5 years) and my husband's parents. The house was very well setup and clean, and was so thoughtfully setup with baby gear. Everything worked well and was comfortable and easy. The little village is adorable and makes access to the rest of the Lake District very easy. We would love to stay again sometime when we can enjoy the garden as well!"

"Clift Hill is a fabulous place to stay. We were a group of 20 friends and family and we loved the house. It's extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has impressive rooms and views but it also feels very homely. The kids (aged between 4 and 11) had a brilliant time exploring the house and gardens, playing with the games and outdoor play equipment and taking over the hot tub."

"Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. "absolutely amazing place, we do travel a lot and normally don't do reviews but this time... probably the best place we ever stayed in... really well equipt and situated on edge of very small village (no shops, no street lights, very friendly locals), just perfect if you want to switch off and take break from stress, this place is for you... perfect location for hikers, cyclists and dogs... we loved every minute spent there... even checked availability to stay week longer but my partner couldn't...

I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."
