The whole suite was immaculately clean and extras such as biscuits and fruit and ‘proper’ milk in a mini fridge were provided. Welcome texts before I arrived was a lovely touch, plenty of local information for those staying on holiday and a very personal service all round. Room wasn’t the most modern but very comfortable and quiet - I had a great sleep! It made a lovely change to stay in a family run B&B whilst away with work rather than the somewhat soulless hotel chain 😊"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Lion . We had our own car parking space . The breakfast was outstanding . Very hot plenty of it and delicious. The only downside was they didn’t do meals in the evening. But they are ready to recommend places that do great meals ie The Old Castle. We would definitely stay there again."
