"The property was a great base for a short stay in Chester for a family of 5. We were no more than 15 minutes from some of the notable local attractions and amenities. The house itself suited our needs and was in a quiet neighbourhood. The house and rooms were of ample size to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children (all under 13)."

"Great location , off street parking a plus. Clean bedding and towels . Enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine ! Some decoration , furniture showing signs of wear and tear. . Pizza cutter and a bin in the bathroom would be good. Great for a short stay and communication from host fab ."

"A lovely, welcoming property, which was perfect for a catch up, with ample beds, towels and bedding, enough utensils for cooking a quick meal before relaxing with drinks on the patio, in the hot tub, in the airy living space or all of the above! Everything was well appointed and easy to find, loved the en suite wet room. The chickens provided unexpected entertainment and the neighbouring sheep and alpacas were very chill. "Perfect for exploring Chester on foot and close to the station. Lovely comfy beds but the house itself was not as clean as I would have liked and there are a few maintenance issues but nothing to spoil the stay. We had a great week there. The size of the house was perfect for our family of 5 with older teenagers, not a huge amount of living space for a bigger group though."

"After booking and paying in full the hosts went off grid, not only would they not respond to us, but Vrbo couldn’t get hold of them either. We were left with 3 children and a baby with nowhere to stay, 4 hours away from home. Avoid this host at all costs. Vrbo were equally unhelpful in resolving the matter, telling us to sort our own arrangements out for ourselves (at 5pm!). An incredibly stressful time, would absolutely not recommend these hosts, or Vrbo as a booking platform."

"14 of us stayed at The Oaks for a hen weekend and had a lovely time. Caroline was super helpful and responsive in the lead up to our stay and over the weekend as well. The house is in a great location – lovely, peaceful setting but close enough to Chester to get in and out of town easily. We hired both hot tubs and were lucky to have great weather, so spent a good few hours outside enjoying the sun! The kitchen is really well-equipped with crockery, utensils, glassware etc and it was great...

"Easy access to places in the area and it is so Green. When not travelling, close the gate and you feel like you are at home. Any questions we had were dealt with very quickly. A good break."

"Lovely location, Spotlessly clean, cozy and very nice little extra touches thank you We were lucky to park just outside but there is the car park close by if you cant find somewhere. Would definitely recommend and visit again sometime soon. So much to do hard to fit in to a few day. The weather was freezing but made it all the more Chrismassy"

"Property was nice but it’s not a 4 b from house it has s 2 two bed flats but by keeping both front doors open feels like a house… parking is on street and difficult to find space.. downstairs has back bedroom in exention and need ti walk through kitchen to access… but it was ok for us as 4 men.. it was clean throughout comfortable beds apart from small room upstairs.. bathrooms very nice with shower upstairs only… …"

"Comfortable, attractive accommodation. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast hamper complete with eggs with bright orange yolks. Plenty of books to read while enjoying the birdsong and relaxing in this wonderfully tranquil location."

"Due to train cancellations I had to find overnight accommodation at very short notice and stumbled upon Deuce. My room was phenomenal, totally overwhelmed by how lovely it was and had the best nights sleep in ages in the wonderful bed. I'm already looking for a reason to come back!"

"It was a nice stat however the rooms, whilst nice, need a little attention. The grouting of tiles in bathroom need a good scrub and the sofa arms had dust. It wasn’t great being woken at 7am on Sunday morning by bins being moved around. "
