We stayed 1 night at the Trident, it was peaceful and relaxing with beautiful green gardens, it was really nice to return to after the chaos of Agra. Staff were all very helpful.
It is well placed for the Taj, just a few minutes on an auto, which are to be found right outside the hotel gates.
The only down side really was that it did feel quite expensive - meals and drinks were pricey! and although the food was nice it wasn't anything out of the ordinary ( we ate from the bar snacks menu as we didn't want a huge a la carte meal ).
We would return to this hotel, but I can't imagine that we would want to be in Agra again. The monuments are fabulous - we went to the fort, the Taj and the baby Taj - but other than that there is little to recommend the city.
This hotel was perfect. Although I only stayed one night, I wished I could have stayed a bit longer. The pros of this hotel are that they scan your bags and you when you come into the hotel. I found this comforting as they took the extra precaution to ensure their guest's safety. The hotel is in general is very classy in appearance and clean. The breakfast was superb, there was a wide variety of local Indian food as well as Western food and the food was delicious. The chief even passes around to all tables to ensure that the guests enjoy their food and to personally bring items to your table. The facilities are wonderful, there is a pool with a bar, the shower, bed and room in general are clean, very spacious and comfortable. This hotel is also a five minute drive away from the Taj Mahal which is perfect if you are trying to beat the crowd and get to the Taj Mahal before the crowd. There is also satellite television at this hotel.
The cons of this hotel is that the wifi is very limited, I was only able to have two devices connected at a time and as I was sharing the room with another guest this became very tedious.
Courtyard by Marriott Agra does live up to the legacy of Marriott hotels worldwide. This is new property and was spic and span. The rooms are fairly large and done up well. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

Synonymous with love, loss, and beauty, the Taj Mahal, on a bank of the Yamuna, is one of the world's most recognizable monuments. This white marble mausoleum of Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved 3rd wife of Emperor Shah Jahan, is considered to be the zenith of Mughal architecture. While you may reserve your awe for the mausoleum, do not forget to admire the other beautiful structures in the complex.
