The Orchid Retreat is the perfect place to stay in Agra. The room is lovely and clean - we felt right at home. The team there are all very friendly and helpful. We had lunch and breakfast - all the food was lovely. Air conditioning worked perfectly. If we were in Agra again, we would definitely stay here!

Amazing and fun

Loved our time at The Orchid Retreat. It was like visiting family that you enjoy. 😃 The location was perfect since we could walk to the Taj and many fun stores. Will definitely come again.

Nice comfortable stay

Service was very good and we got all the best recommendations, to have during our stay. The family owns and runs it and takes very good care of the accommodation. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hospitality was very good.

Nice guesthouse stay

Lovely guest house in a nice street in Agra. A few food and drink options nearby. Owners very helpful and good for suggestions. Food served by the family is also nice. Rooms very comfortable and well air conditioned.

The staff was wonderful and was so helpful for my entire trip. The room was clean and the room service was excellent. 10/10 definitely recommend this for anyone looking to stay in Agra and see the Taj Mahal. Only a 2 minute walk from the Taj Mahal which is a huge plus!

I had a pleasant stay at the Orchid retreat. Vikrant and his family were very friendly and helpful. He even helped me recharge my local sim card so i could make an overseas call. The rooms are large and clean. The food was delicious and there is a really nice large sitting area on each floor between the rooms. The guest house is very walkable to the Taj Mahal entry gate or to the golf cart parking area if you dont want to walk all the way to the gate. There are several restaurants and local places to eat in the area. I thought it was excellent value.

This is a family owned business. They are very sweet and took care of me. They were very accommodating very friendly like family on the place is clean. It’s close by to everything. It’s very convenient. Their hospitality is excellent. When I left, I said goodbye to the grandmother she was so sweet to me. She felt like my own grandmother. She took care of me when I went to the Taj Mahal when I had my saree on. She helped pinned everything she gave me bangle bracelets to wear, and she also gave me the Indian mark on my forehead. She made sure I was pinned, and then I looked beautiful without even her asking she did it on her own like if I was her own granddaughter.

As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and welcomed at the Orchid retreat homestay. The host Vikrant is incredibly attentive, and the homestay is located in a quiet & secure area. The room was clean and cozy, and the homemade meals were delicious. Taj Mahal is just walking from here. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and secure stay in Agra!

Excellent guesthouse

Rather than a hotel, this is a guesthouse. Vikrant and his family are very welcoming and kind. They'll do their very best for a smooth stay in Agra. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be organized for you, and Vikrant will also make a private vehicle available for your visits, in particular in Fathepur Sikri (for a very competitive rate). Your hosts will make sure you avoid all sorts of scams unfortunately common in very touristy Agra! I do recommend totally 100%!

We really enjoyed our quick stay at The Orchid Retreat in Agra, India! I was surprised how close we were staying to the Taj Mahal, as we were able to walk there to get in line & buy tickets in advance online. The staff were so timely, friendly, & helpful with Taj arrangements and information. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned nicely. The food was very nice. It’s a family run facility, as I really enjoyed that and liked supporting a family business. When in Agra in the future, we will be staying there again! Thanks 😊!

This was the best hotel I have stayed at in all of India so far. Vikrant was so very helpful to us and helped us book our trains and even helped us find a taxi to Agra from Delhi when we failed to secure transport in time. He was simply so caring and helpful. We would have been lost without him! The rooms were so clean.., not a dust or stain anywhere and the bed was comfy and the aircon perfect! This was for my family with 2 adults and 3 kids who stayed in another room in the same floor. Each floor had its own living room/dining area that was beautiful! We would definitely visit again and recommend to all.

タージ・マハルまで徒歩圏内を理由に選びました。近くに飲食店も多く過ごしやすいです。金曜日前だったからか、お祭りがあったのか、明け方まで外がうるさかったのは気になりました。家族経営の宿のようで、皆フレンドリーでした。シャワーサンダルが使い込まれていたので、一度洗って使用しました。

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und ruhiges Zimmer. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Erwähnen möchte ich besonders den Eigentümer des Hauses, er hat uns wertvolle Tipps gegeben und auch alles bestens organisiert, sowie auch die Weiterreise.Taj Mahal ist gut zu Fuss zu erreichen, morgens um 6 Uhr loslaufen. Das Abendessen hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt und das Frühstück, mit frisch zubereiteten Eiern, war auch sehr lecker. Alles in allem ein super Hotel und die Gästebetreung ist top.
