"Countryside enfolded the TJS and as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcomed. Our room was clean and fresh. Everything you needed had been thought of, big walk-in shower. fluffy robes, small fridge with water and milk for your tea. We only had breakfast but was freshly cooked and lasted us all day. The room was perfect for my two-night stay in the area, to visit relatives and National Trust properties. A very comfortable bed, and hot shower. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. "Couldn’t ask for a better location. Smack in the middle of everything in town and only a 7-8 min walk from the station. Apartment was very clean and well presented. Iron and hairdryer included. The only real downside was the thin windows in the property that didn’t block a lot of the outside noise. Some of the rowdy pub goers (of which I was one!) could be very noisy in the early hours. "The Sofitel experience is the best I've ever had! The staff is kind, helpful, and friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable, and affordable. Very clean. The hotel is designed with a modern flair and has 4 restaurants. We were treated to a delicious Continental breakfast and enjoyed the Thai/Chinese restaurant. The passageway connecting the hotel with Gatwick airport and, via south terminal, the train station makes this hotel convenient. No need to get a taxi or Uber. My husband and I look forward to returning to Sofitel Gatwick! A big thank you to all the kind staff, especially Harrish, Alessia, Steven, and the rest whose names I don't recall."
