“Excellent hotel”
Good central location next to Raffles with access to MRT. Large swimming pool and spa. Many food outlets. Shopping centre with food court and supermarket. Great service, excellent room.
“fairmont siingapore”
Excellent hotel, the swimming pool on the 8th floor is to be admired and its the only reason I stay there.
“Great - child friendly hotel”
The fairmont staff were very attentive, and did a good job of selling us an room upgrade - but the better room was great. The hotel was very welcoming of children; the lobby staff gave our child a small soft toy, which was a thoughtful guesture.
“Simply, superb!”
Our stay at the Fairmont was quite simply, superb. It's located above Raffles shopping mall and has direct access into it. We had booked the signature suite which was 50 sq ft larger than the standard with 2 balconies, so we also requested a high floor with a good view. The staff obliged with suite 2203, giving us stunning views of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the bay itself, the Theatres on the Bay (2 very large bug eyes as roofs), with the WW2 war memorial in the foreground from one balcony and St Andrew's Cathedral, Supreme Court and Boat Quay from the other. The suite itself was tasteful and provided all the comfort you would hope, but most notable was the bed which was exceptionally comfortable and made getting up almost impossible. The bathroom had a large tub with very good shower over, stocked with all your girl could hope to find and with very large soft and fluffy bath towels, dressing gowns etc. Room service was exacting and punctual, with you even being advised the exact timing of your order and when delivered was presented beautifully and tasted fab. No task was a problem for this courteous efficient team. Finally the in room bar, well stocked and easy to get carried away! We were really very impressed with every aspect of our stay and the warmth and efficiency of the whole team who made it work, hence this mammoth review, but having stayed in many Singapore hotels this was a very pleasent surprise. In Singapore this is where we will stay.
“Beautiful hotel with excellent service”
I loved this hotel, it was very well maintained and presented and the service was excellent, the staff could not do enough for you and were very attentive. Room was beautiful and had a balcony overlooking Raffles. Was very pleased, would definitely stay here again.
“Well worth visiting.”
Fairmont is located across the road from Raffles hotel. Hotel is excellent with friendly staff and great rooms. We had the "Raffles Deluxe" category or room which includes access to an "Executive Lounge" for breakfast/dinner and a private gym and complementary high speed internet access. The location is fantastic and a lot of the sights are within walking distance, e.g. Marina Bay and the singapore flyer. There are plenty of shopping malls all nearby and one is even attached to the hotel.
“Best Location in Singapore”
Great location right in the middle of central singapore. Service was excelent. Definitely worth going for the Raffles Inc upgrade which includes access to the lounge and breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel
“Not like the old Raffles Plaza”
To begin it is a bit unfair to be critical because the hotel is as lovely and as luxurious as it was when it was the Raffles Plaza. There has nonetheless been a change in the atmosphere of the hotel, and the relaxed and fun character of the hotel has been lost. Like many American/Canadian hotels, you are only special if you book the expensive rooms and spend lots of money. It was never like that at The Plaza, where everyone was special. Notwithstanding this, the facilities and service was excellent, and the breakfast is a feast to the eye and the stomach. I would still recommend it to friends and colleagues (and do).
“Superb Hotel in Singapore”
Please see travel experience above.
“Great Location”
Central location near shopping, bars and restaurants and easy to get around from. Ideal for a short stop in Singapore.
