"Probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at.."
Me and my now fiancé stayed here on our summer vacation to Thailand. I would definitely catigorize this hotel to be one of my top hotels I've had the pleasure of experiencing throughout my years of traveling.
I was really impressed with the service most of all. The staff was impeccable and very attentive in a candor sincere manner. The hotels location was another plus for me. It is located right next to what seems to be the best Shopping Mall in Central Bangkok, Siam Paragon and Siam Center... So if your a shopping kind of gal you will definitely enjoy that plus. It also has convenient access to the Sky Train if you desire to travel to other locations within the vicinity of Bangkok.
The room itself was very clean and decorated beautifully. They really put a lot of effort into it. Every morning after the house keepers tidy up the room they leave some of the most amazing fruit awaiting our return. Just the little things like this had me excited.
Overall I was definitely happy and impressed with hotel and would not hesitate to come back..
Travelled with my wife and stayed for two nights at the hotel. I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The positive side was that the hotel staff excelled in going out of the way. At 3.30 am I could not sleep since I was feeling hot and stuffy (the aircon was working fine, it's just that being claustrophobic I needed more air). I called the concierge and they responded immediately. Within ten minutes someone wheeled in a portable aircon and I could sleep peacefully after that. A big plus point for that. However, the next day when we entered the room in the afternoon we saw a small cockroach crawling on the shelf above the fridge and before we could take a picture it had sneaked in behind the fridge. That was very upsetting, just the thought of many more roaches hidden inside made us go ughh! We threw away some dry snacks in which we suspected the roach could have crawled into. Inspite of this I would rate this hotel as a good family hotel. We could shop in MBK and make multiple trips back to our room with all our shopping. The BTS Skytrain being within walking distance was a big plus too. However for dine-in you need to set aside a big budget, otherwise use the food courts at MBK but it operates from 10am to 10 pm only.
We visited Bangkok with young grandsons. They loved swimming pool, though smaller than seen in picture. Being connected to Central World shopping complex is a big plus, we went there often for snacks, meals, supplies, etc. Airport pick up service was good and convenient. Hotel is also a convention center, holding local and international meeting often, our check in was slow due to number of guests. At one time receptionists were quite snappy. Service and food in Executive Lounge was not worth paying extra for, breakfast buffet in main dining room is much better. We rented 3 rooms, 2 were not quite clean, there was mildew in shower stalls. Hotel showed its age and some neglect that needs renovation. To us, major problem was the fact that there were only four elevators between lobby and quest rooms. Over all, we were please with hotel staff and services.
Situated between BTS National Stadium & Ratchathewi.
a- No bed room slipper! (Out of stocks)
b- Didn't get both rooms with King size bed which I selected the option during the booking, I even emailed the hotel of my request way before my travel date!
Pleasant surprise to have deluxe room upgraded to suite upon evening arrival due to high occupancy.
Beautiful interior & cosy living room & spacious bedroom at high floor with unobstructed view of the city.
Daily buffet breakfast with wide variety of foods. Friendly & cheerful hotel staffs who readily provide prompt service. Hotel has good facilities eg spa, gym and swimming pool.
“Downtown” refers to a cluster of swanky entertainment and shopping complexes radiating out from Siam Square in the Puthumwan district. The square features everything from designer boutiques, to cafés, banks, and bookshops, and is across from other shopping centers such as Siam Discovery, Siam Center, and Paragon. Jim Thompson’s Thai House Museum is a must-see. The skytrain provides convenient access to all.
