We enjoyed three nights at the Mercer. The room and facilities are excellent with great beds and linens, the breakfast very good, and the hotel very quiet and peaceful. The included mini bar was a plus. What we especially liked was the location. It is minutes walk from the metro and the Macau ferry but also away from the commercial downtown area. It is located in an area filled with local businesses, especially many "local medicine" shops selling all kinds of herbs, snakes, bird nests, etc that was very interesting to browse through. We would not have seen this area if we had not stayed at the Mercer.
I had never been to Hong Kong. The staff responded timely to emails and provided general guidance prior to arrival. The hotel and rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast at Classified, a short walk away, was great.
Very nice and clean hotel with complimentary breakfast, plenty of choices ----- fresh fruit, cereal, bread,tea/coffee plus cooked breakfast. The staff are very helpful and courteous . The hotel is near the MTR, tram and buses, all within five to ten minutes walk. It is very easy to get to Central,
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. The restaurants are much cheaper than other areas of Hong Kong.
We had two complimentary tickets on the Peak tram while we were there.
This is a gem, with great value for money. Room design is modern, very original, and high-end. Staff is extremely professional and friendly. Service is beyond what you'd normally expect in the overheated Hong Kong hotel business: upon check-in we found a goodie bag in the room, free drinks in the in-room refrigerator, and in addition there's daily complementary drinks and snacks in the lobby bar.
Breakfast is on the second floor of the downstairs Ovolo Cafe (directly accessible from the hotel). As such, assortment is great.
We loved this as a home base for our errands/exploration in Hong Kong and will certainly be back.
The staff were pleasant and let me check into my room early. The room was by no means large but it was clean and compact. There wasn't a mini bar but drinks could be delivered to the room. The simple breakfast was a yummy croissant and a danish pastry and a drink, again delivered to my room at a time I requested.
It was just what I needed for an overnight stay in HK and I would go back.
