Good: The location was great, very close to the main Termini station for airport and many other transport links and within easy walking distance of a number of sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when we arrived early. We were able to leave our bags with confidence and they even placed them in our room for when we got back from exploring a few hours later. There are a number of restaurants on the same block as the hotel and the one directly next door had phenomenally good food at reasonable prices.
Not so good: the room we had was a little dated and worn with a few missing tiles in the shower but it was very clean. The noise insulation between the rooms wasn't brilliant but didn't disturb us when we were trying to sleep
Hotel Re provided foundation for very successful & happy trip to Rome. Great staff: manager Maurice [that's the English language version of his name] is built like a rugby lock but a lot more welcoming!! As soon as we hit the desk he pulled out a map to show us the best way to get to places, highlighted the areas to avoid at night, what buses to use, suggested places to eat & where to shop. Hotel is quiet in area where there are a lot of Government Ministries and it's clean. It's close to the city centre & there's a good supermarket about 10 minutes walk away.
Be aware that hotel lobby is on 2nd floor [the lift to it was built during Caeser's time] the breakfast room is a bit cramped & internet for guests slow. Nothing, though, that would stop us going back there again.
The room was actually bigger than I expected. The desk managers were very helpful and kind. My only complaint was that we missed our breakfast one day as we had early morning tickets. It was to be served at 7 AM, but the woman in charge was late to work and we could not wait. Oh well.......seemed to be the attitude of the manager.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We booked a small room which was fine but the air conditioning was noisy and I asked the reception to turn it off at night. Breakfasts were very good, plentiful and varied.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
The deceptive look of the outside of the accommodation may cause concern, but there is no need to worry. The rooms are comfortable and fitted to a very good standard, with queen size beds and double showers.
The best aspect of the stay was the helpfulness and friendliness of Damian and his team, who could never do enough for us with either service or knowledge of what to do or see.
A real hidden gem was Branca Leone restaurant recommended by Damian, less than a 5 minute walk away it gives you a real taste of traditional Italy with unbelievable home made red wine!

If you are looking for a modern Rome accommodation , then the Imperial Suite guest house is definitely worth a look. …More
The staff was exceptional helping us with every detail of our stay. Anytime we needed a recommendation or help in getting around Rome, their expertise was amazing!! I would stay here again on my next trip to Rome.
I had never been to Rome before, so when I booked this room on-line, I was a bit nervous. Some of the reviews mentioned small rooms and the slow elevator. Neither of these were a problem for me. We stayed in an economy room and it was good size as far as I'm concerned. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and the black out curtains worked so well that I over slept my first day.
We were on the 4th floor and never had to wait too long for the elevator.
