“Had a great time”
Attended a wedding. The resort was clean. The pools were nice. The food in the restaurants were good. The service was a bit slow sometimes. The staff was friendly.
“Can't wait to go back”
Very nice place to stay. The customer service was excellent and the food was good.
“Not impressed -”
We returned from a 7 day stay at Now Sapphire on 12/4/11. Overall our stay was ok. The food was not good, but not bad either. Coffee at the cafe was very good. The beach was very nice, and kept reasonably clear of sea debris. You have to get up pretty early in the morning though to get chairs at the beach. They were pretty much all reserved (marked by towels, slippers, etc.) by 7 a.m. Evening entertainment was great - good shows, and a band every night. The staff was ok -- some were great, others rude. Our room was not cleaned the last two days. Our biggest disappointment was the physical condition of the property. Our bathroom had missing/broken tiles. The tub had mold around the edges. Paint was chipped in our room, the hallways and steps. The steps didn't appear to have been swept the entire time we were there. The pool had missing tiles, and concrete columns in the pool were chipped and jagged at the base (which scraped our feet). Wireless internet is not free at the hotel. Wireless is not available in the rooms, only the main lobby.
“Now Saphire”
There were bugs on the end table. They were supposed to have a banner and something special for my boyfriends birthday and they never did. The food was bad. The seats at the beach were all for preferred customers so we had to sit extremely far from bathrooms and the pool.
“surprizes!!”
there is no work out room,,, when asked they kept saying it was by the tennis courts,,,well that was a joke.. the spa is being worked on, so that was closed... and even though they mention the number of resteraunts, they alternate closing some, so actually you dont have all the options.!! just not what was represented...
“Clean and fun but an information black hole”
The Good The resort is very well maintained. The Pool area is great and has a fun atmosphere. Lots to do. We especially liked the free sailing boats that you could take out on your own. The food at the specialty restaurants was good and the service fine as well. They put a lot of effort in keeping the beach area clean (The seaweed cleanup tractor comes by every hour it seems). The Bad the food at the evening buffet dinners in horrible. Needed a chain saw to cut the 1/4 steak and the flavor of the food was bad at best. Finding a newspaper to read is like finding a needle in a haystack. The front desk said they could print me up one. Obviously they had no clue as to what I was talking about. Finally found a New York times that covered the whole week about 8 pages long. Still charging for the internet in this day and age is ridiculous. I tried many times to log into the wireless with no success. Paid $12 for a one time hour long session at the business center. Ask a question to staff and they only give vague answers. You have to try real hard by asking many questions to get any real understanding of your question like how to does the taxis service work. Also to get to anything like downtown Cancun or Playa de Carmin you need to take a taxis or tour bus. Very expensive if you want to leave the resort for any fun activities. Overall ok. The bad stuff was mostly inconvenience stuff.
“Consider this before booking”
Its a nice hotel with the deficiences that any all inclusive hotel has, the food aint good, small portions and a 8/10 on taste. Still if you dont mind this its a good place to go. It is more a retirement hotel with families and elders, not a place to party, and a little away from playa and cancun, still if you dont mind about that either, its an excellent place for resting
“Relaxing vacation”
Excellent service, good food, good atmosphere
“Can't wait to go back”
Overall resort was great.
“Nice hotel, food was terrible.”
The hotel was only 20 min from the airport which was nice. The room was clean and the mini fridge was stocked with water, beer and soda.Has an iron and hair dryer. The staff was friendly. The negatives: The food was terrible, breakfast was the only good meal. No hot tub by the pool area only in the spa. Cant have lunch by the pool or on the beach, only in the dinning room . Water is not as clear as Cancun or playa del carmen due to the coral reef being so close. I have stayed at a few all inclusive resorts and they blew this one out of the water.
