A 10 day stay in late season when the weather was still warm but no crowded beaches. Hotel staff pleasant & all inclusive was good value. Grounds are set on a hill so views are great but some facilities are on higher levels.
Wholly recommend this hotel. Greeted with a smile and a chat. Staff did everything not only to welcome us but to accommodate all right to the final taxi upon leaving. WiFi and computers free. Simple nice and central. I would recommend this and return.
We recently stayed at the Elysium from Sept. 29th through Oct. 5th for our honeymoon. My husband's parents had visited Rhodes on a stop off of a cruise ship and recommended that we go there. It did not disappoint. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Although the Elysium is not the newest hotel on the island, you would never know. It is new enough to be attractive to guests visiting the island who are looking for a place on the water, but it is seasoned enough to have dealt with all of the downfalls of being a "new" hotel. The interior is beautifully decorated and we constantly saw the staff cleaning the hotel. The Elysium's attention to detail is what makes it one of the most attractive hotels on the island. The staff was also very helpful, spoke English very well and they were always there to answer our questions. We also did a lot of research on the Elysium before visiting and found that most of the "negative" reviews about the hotel had been addressed. For example, a previous review had mentioned that the dinner options at the Emerald Restaurant were confusing and we found that our waiter explained it to us very well. One thing we liked about this hotel was how peaceful and quiet it was. The hotel next door (the Alila) seemed very loud and played loud music throughout the day. We enjoyed being able to go to the pool and listen to music but also have a relaxing day at the beach. Daily breakfasts at Emerald were worth it!
Just returned from the Eden roc resort, had a lovely time weather good and hotel and all around Excellent. Nice and relaxing also quite. Found a couple of lovely walks in the evening do explore if you are going. Near to rhodes old town must take a visit.
Boutique 5 was everything we hoped it would be, the room was a 'superior junior suite with private pool' and surpassed our expectations. The huge bed was incredibly comfortable, the room spacious and perfectly climatised with auto AC. There was a Tassimo coffee machine and coffee cups(bring your own Tassimo pods as you have to pay for the mini bar ones), well stocked mini bar which we actually didn't use. Our private pool was definitely an asset and the private beach had lots of umbrellas, fresh towels and ridiculously comfy sun-loungers plus a waiter to cater for any snacks or drinks requirements. The staff were lovely, helpful and always good humoured. We spent a week here and it was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience, we would definitely go back next year.
On arrival or booking we were not offered a 'half board' or 'Set Menu' option for dinner, and the 'Fine dining' menu was a little limited and very expensive (although it was delicious and beautifully presented). We ended up going outside the hotel to a nearby excellent greek restaurant several times and feel the hotel missed out unwittingly as we would definitely have stayed in the lovely surroundings if a 'Set Menu" had been available.
This is a lovely hotel, really well done up. Great staff all over the hotel, they are all extremely helpful and go above and beyond for customers. The pools were lovely, plenty of sun beds. They own a section of the beach next to the hotel so that's great too. Breakfast at the hotel was great - a buffet with plenty of choice. We ate dinner at the hotel once on BBQ night. It was okay but not a lot of great options for vegetarians. It was also more expensive than eating out in restaurants in Rhodes town. Location is great, close to the airport around 20-30mins and 10mins away from Rhodes town by taxi for about €8. Our room was one of the bungalows.. okay but not part of the main hotel. The hotel did offer to house us in the main building but the rooms were significantly smaller for 3 people and so we stayed put. We had an amazing view of the beach - breathtaking. We also used the hotel spa as they had some discounts on treatments. The Spa is gorgeous and definitely worth using if you can. I would recommend this hotel for those who want a nice relaxing holiday with some evening entertainment at the hotel. They also host wedding sometimes which we weren't a fan of as beautiful as it was we were not able to access the area once the events started.
This is a fabulous, well managed hotel with lots of friendly staff, excellent facilities and delicious food for a multi national clientele & my vegetarian husband. Mid September was lovely there, enjoyed by many young families with under 5's as well as the active doing water sports, pool volley ball, polo or beach games eg boules. There was yoga, children's club, light entertainment (not intrusive) and we over 60's could swim every day in the sea or a choice of 3 pools, sit under an olive tree in the grounds or take a boat to Lindos or a trip to Rhodes town, a UNESCO site. The all inclusive package was exceptional and generous, including bottled water, cocktails & cappuccinos. The private beach is shingle and rock so shoes are useful. The Aegean is warm like the welcome & service you get here.
