First visit to this hotel and will definately be returning for my birthday in January! Olivia on reception was lovely and made our stay great especially the glasses of champagne . Was a lovely touch. The hotel was very nice and relaxing. The only negative I would say would be the room was very small and the view over a yard. I would want a different room next time. Rooms very clean and beds very comfy! Looking forward to our next visit
My wife & I recently stayed at The Old Swan, just for 1 night for a family wedding. The Hotel dates from the 1700's & is a grand old hotel. It is bigger than I expected & is set in lovely grounds - ideal for wedding photo's.
The staff were friendly, courteous & efficient. Check - in is not normally until 2.00 pm, but we managed to get in earlier, which was good. We had drinks & bar snacks, which were nice, but we didn't have evening meal because we were at the wedding. Our room was large with a big bed and an excellent en-suite, all very clean & tidy with t.v., tea & coffee facilities & a trouser press.
We had full English breakfast the next morning that was excellent.
Agatha Christie was found at this hotel when she went "missing"
The Geminian is within easy reach of the town centre. My room was comfortable and well-appointed. Parking may be a little tricky at times but a parking disc is available that will give 1 or 2 hours free street parking.
We were welcomed by Judy who insisted on carrying our heavy case up 3 flights. Our room was clean & comfortable with en suite which was roomy & efficient . Our bed & pillows could not be faulted. We stayed for 2 nights and the breakfast was excellent, every choice of fruit you could thinkof. The cooked breakfast was multichjoice & cooked to perfection. We do not hesitate to recommend this Guest House
Stayed here while we enjoyed a weekend away in Harrogate. Our King Executive room was great value for money for Harrogate hotels, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Tea/coffee in room and a lovely big flat screen TV. Breakfast was excellent and the evening Neal we had was exceptional.
We gad a great weekend here and would definitely return.
