Lovely Bed and Breakfast on outskirts Harrogate in a lovely small village setting. Just what we needed to attend a nearby wedding.
Room very pleasant and extremely clean and lovely bathroom too. Breakfast on the Sunday Morning was far far superior to any hotel breakfast and was taken in the deli/coffee shop, which has a warm sunny and friendly atmosphere, Lovely Hosts. Thank You
Really thoughtful proprietor who was extremely friendly. Room was extremely clean and well equipped with a hair dryer, magazines and bottled water. Lovely big house in a nice quiet street. Delicious breakfast with a good range of options. All in all an excellent stay.
Stayed at the ascot with my mum for a shopping break in Harrogate from the very first meeting of the lady on reception our stay was perfect. The room was warm spacious and very clean .we had booked our evening meal and could not fault a thing . The food was lovely and the staff were very polite . Breakfast was great with a good variety of choice.would definitely stay here again when visiting Harrogate and would recommend to anybody looking for a hotel with just a short walk from town .

I booked and paid for this hotel without realising that while there was a shower and hand basin in the room, there was no toilet. I would not have booked it had I known. However, this might not be an issue for others, as other aspects were fine.
The Hotel had a free car park and was about 5 minutes walk into Harrogate. The entrance hall was large and quite magnificent and I felt abit like being on the set of a Miss Marples mystery !
Our room (234) was very clean and had recently been upgraded with a new en-suite and room furniture. It had tea making facilities with free LUXURY biscuits which were replenished daily.
We could not fault the room.
Ok,the floor boards squeaked and the central heating whirled but this all added to the character of the Hotel.
Breakfast was served in a massive victorian type room.
Food was served by staff at a servery, and you could have as much as you liked.
eg: Sausage (real butchers type) Bacon,Eggs,Beans,Mushrooms,Tomatoes,Potato Waffles,Black Pudding,Toast .... all came with a large pot of tea/coffee.
Other items included,Cereals,Fruit,Yoghurt,Jams,etc.
We had an excellent short stay at the Cairn Hotel and all the staff were courteous, polite and helpful.
Well Done to ALL.

Just back from a few days break in a brilliant cosy hotel, right in the heart of York, could not have wished for a better location, we loved the unusual and quirky rooms, very comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, although no proper bar or restaurant, plenty nearby, especially Bills for breakfast was handy, would definitely stay here again
Having booked a premier I was disappointed on arrival to be given a small basic room which was quite dark. I asked to change and was given a lovely room with two large wi does a and excellent lighting.
The bathroom was very unusual. The toilet was so high I could not reach the floor, the side of the bath was also high but the hand basin was disproportionately shirt! The room was very clean.
The food was excellent but watch the plates as they are so hot. Breakfast was good but it is difficult to ask for anything in the restaurant as so few of the staff appear to speak English.
Certainly lives up to the 4* boutique title, decor is lovely! Very modern/contemporary yet in keeping with the beautiful old buildings and their character. Not one bad point! Only thing we noticed when joking about playing 'Four in a bed' (tv show-google it) there was some dust on the blind slats and too of wardrobe...haha hardly anything worth noting. Bathroom was gorgeous and was the room, loved the mirror! Hospitality tray was well stocked with branded tea, coffee and hot chocolate and the toiletries in the bathroom smelt and were amazing. Breakfast...definitely not one to miss! Was full until the evening even after walking around Harrogate for the day (town is literally a 5minute walk away). Overall, wished we had stayed another night! Loved it.
