Always nice to stay there.
Shower could have been better, the control Wasn't good, very hard to get the right temperature and water didn't come out very fast!
Breakfast was lovely and staff were great.
Bed was very comfortable, but seemed a little wobbly.
It didn't put me off from staying again.

I knew the hotel from 20 years ago. It was still wonderful. The staff were fantastic. A Scottish lady served us at the bar, she was attentive, welcoming, funny and just what we needed. The room was gorgeous, the sloping floors, the fires, the wooden panelling all stunning. Just marvelous!

We stayed at The Blacksmiths Arms recently and were very impressed by the hospitality. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. A light lunch in the bar was delicious and I can honestly say that the cooked breakfast was of epic proportions and one of the best I have ever enjoyed.
Our room was clean, well furnished and pleasant although it did face onto a busy road. The bathroom was very spacious I would thoroughly recommend The Blacksmiths Arms to anyone and it is perfect for Glyndebourne, only 10/15 minutes by taxi.
"Friendly hotel, close to the beach and town centre"
Made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return.
The breakfast room service was a real treat as was the complimentary water, Coke and well stocked hospitality tray.
Rather noisy fan in the loo which took ages to go off.
We spent four nights here. Beautiful decor everywhere. Cosy and comfortable room. We loved the keyless entry system with the codes. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt very private and self contained down in the basement and loved the additional bathtub in the room! A nice touch.
The only negative is the noise from the wooden floor above. That aside, it was a wonderful experience!
