"Beautiful boutique hotel, no lift, but rooms are large. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to Train station and short walk to centre of town, very quiet. Lounge area on ground floor has lovely river view. Breakfast was great too."

"We were excited to stay in downtown Idar Oberstein since previously we had stayed a bit out of town. Sadly, the experience was lacking and bordered on depressing. I want to be quick to say that some of this is not the property's fault. Idar Oberstein is struggling like many small German cities within maintaining a vibrant downtown. That has had an impact on the property. In fact, the restaurant that used to be part of the hotel is no longer open which combines to limit dining choices for...

"Unser Aufenthalt war richtig schön. Das Zimmer war sauber und sogar frisches Wasser wurde täglich in unserem Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Bis in den Orstkern war es auch nicht so weit. Abends konnte man mit einem Wein aus dem Weinkühlschrank auf der Terrasse den Sonnenuntergang betrachten, mit Blick auf die Mosel. Rundum ein richtig toller Urlaub :)"

"Lovely guest house about 30 mins from Trier in a national park. Host on site to welcome. Large ensuite room with bath and separate shower. Comfortable bed. Free parking. There is a upstairs terrace to sit out on. Not sure about a pool, there's a public pool across the road. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it."

"Wir hatten eine wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Gästehaus. Die Zimmer wurden vor kurzer Zeit renoviert und Familie Stein kümmert sich wirklich liebevoll um Ihre Gäste. Valwig ist ein ruhiges und idyllisches Städtchen mit weniger Trubel als beispielsweise im ca. 3km entfernten Cochem. Klare Weiterempfehlung :)"
