Great location.... not great attention to details

Posted 13-Nov-2014
The location of the hotel was fabulous and the bar/reception area were great too. We had a total of 8 rooms (one suite-which we had by chance). The rooms were mainly lovely although two out of the 8 had issues. Room 521 had a toilet that did not flush and another room (not sure of the number) had no amenities. Both of these rooms were not cleaned to a great standard too. Not one to complain normally... its just I booked these rooms on behalf of the guest so I found it a little embarrassing. Great location though and no need for tube passes as everything we wanted to see was within walking distance.

Excellent location

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, breakfast
Cons: Room decor
Location: In the middle of touristy London, close to rail and tube.
The hotel is on Trafalgar Square, the location cannot be faulted. The hotel overall is good, the rooms are a decent size but could do with a touch extra, some wall art for instance, it felt like there was something missing. It describes itself as a boutique hotel, so a bit more attention to its rooms would help it achieve that title. The bed was comfortable, we had good nights sleep, the staff were courteous and the breakfast was very good. one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts I've had in this country to be honest. I left a disposable coffee cup in the room. This was not cleared away. Likewise a couple of glasses and an empty ice bucket were just left after the room clean. No big issue, however it's little things like that, that are remembered. Overall though, a pleasant stay in London, and a hotel that we only used for sleeping in and eating breakfast.

I only stayed in the Trafalgar Hotel two nights but was very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room with a view overlooking Trafalgar Square. The hotel staff could not have been nicer especially Austin and Ibby. I lost my wallet the 2nd day in London, containing all my money and credit cards. These two kind gentlemen were immensely helpful to me and even assisted me in getting to Heathrow Airport to make my flight back to the states. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London, England. Herb J.

Good hotel close to the action

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: It's location and the nicely presented room.
Cons: Shower door didn't close properly so water escaped onto bathroom floor.
Location: Right on Trafalgar Square, all you need on the doorstep
Upgraded to a deluxe room which was a good size for London, nicely decorated and presented. So can't comment on the standard rooms. Only downside was that we couldn't see out of windows due to internal glazing and external building restriction but otherwise very pleasant room. Lighting in bathroom was better than other hotels we've stayed in which are often very gloomy. Staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Away day

Posted 26-Aug-2014
We stayed here for just one night and the staff were excellent, breakfast was good and a lot of choice. The hotel was spotlessly clean. It is a lovely central position for walking around. The Vista bar is well worth a visit, we only had one drink as they were not cheap. My husband had a lovely night's sleep but I found the mattress a little harder than I am used to! I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, nice hotel

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Just what you would expect really - nice comfortable rooms.
Cons: Clean the toilets in the bar better! Also the breakfast was extortionate at £25pp, when you can get a decent full english nearby for £5.
Location: Right in the heart of theatre land, on trafalgar square, with a short walk to lots of other sights e.g. houses of parliament, covent garden,
Stayed here for just one night on a trip to the theatre. The hotel is in a great location for the west end, with lots of theatres and restaurants within a short walk. The room was clean and comfortable, just what you would expect really. The only slight downside was the TV in the room which had a problem with the sound. The hotel also has a rooftop bar with amazing views all around London and lovely cocktails. I would recommend using the loo in your room though as those near the bar were disgusting - not what you would expect from this standard of hotel.

Nice Hotel, Great Location.

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff, they were wonderful.
Cons: Wifi should be free to guests in all areas not just certain locations. Rooms should be updated, for instance the bath tub was too high to get into.
Location: The location was very convenient. You are across from Trafalgar Square, and can walk to many more attractions. Public transportations are all near.
The Hotel was good overall. The best parts were the staff and it's location. There is the roof top bar that was great too but gets very crowded, however it is a must do if you stay. It is in the heart of the city and as such has many conveniences.

Great location, staff quite friendly, little price

Posted 03-Aug-2014
Pros: its location . the staff was wonderful.
Cons: it needs to be refurbished. I had such a backache from slab bed. Rooms are small for two people and we even upgraded. That was NOT a kingsize bed
Location: You are in the heart of London. Everything you need is right there. Theater, good dining, buses, tube, good bakeries
Beds are SO uncomfortable, rooms border shabby, there is nightclub in hotel, so it gets quite congested and noisy

Fantastic hotel!

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, customer service and roof top bar.
Cons: It would be wonderful if there was a pool or sauna etc.
Location: London Eye, Picadilly Circus, Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Leicester Square, Soho, Chinatown, theatre district.
Me and my husband stayed for one night only but we had a fantastic time. Hotel is boutique style and impressive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we felt like nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were a good size especially for a central location, we slept well and it was quiet at night. We also visited the roof top bar terrace for a snack and few drinks. As guests of the hotel we got a really good table with a breathtaking view across London. At peak times and good weather I can imagine its hard to get a table as it was very busy when we were there so book a table if you can. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's also a great location as it's near and in walking distance of so many london attractions ( London eye, picadilly circus, Leicester square, soho, Westminster, Buckingham palace, the mall etc).
