Good hotel close to the action

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: It's location and the nicely presented room.
Cons: Shower door didn't close properly so water escaped onto bathroom floor.
Location: Right on Trafalgar Square, all you need on the doorstep
Upgraded to a deluxe room which was a good size for London, nicely decorated and presented. So can't comment on the standard rooms. Only downside was that we couldn't see out of windows due to internal glazing and external building restriction but otherwise very pleasant room. Lighting in bathroom was better than other hotels we've stayed in which are often very gloomy. Staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Away day

Posted 26-Aug-2014
We stayed here for just one night and the staff were excellent, breakfast was good and a lot of choice. The hotel was spotlessly clean. It is a lovely central position for walking around. The Vista bar is well worth a visit, we only had one drink as they were not cheap. My husband had a lovely night's sleep but I found the mattress a little harder than I am used to! I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, nice hotel

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Just what you would expect really - nice comfortable rooms.
Cons: Clean the toilets in the bar better! Also the breakfast was extortionate at £25pp, when you can get a decent full english nearby for £5.
Location: Right in the heart of theatre land, on trafalgar square, with a short walk to lots of other sights e.g. houses of parliament, covent garden,
Stayed here for just one night on a trip to the theatre. The hotel is in a great location for the west end, with lots of theatres and restaurants within a short walk. The room was clean and comfortable, just what you would expect really. The only slight downside was the TV in the room which had a problem with the sound. The hotel also has a rooftop bar with amazing views all around London and lovely cocktails. I would recommend using the loo in your room though as those near the bar were disgusting - not what you would expect from this standard of hotel.

Nice Hotel, Great Location.

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff, they were wonderful.
Cons: Wifi should be free to guests in all areas not just certain locations. Rooms should be updated, for instance the bath tub was too high to get into.
Location: The location was very convenient. You are across from Trafalgar Square, and can walk to many more attractions. Public transportations are all near.
The Hotel was good overall. The best parts were the staff and it's location. There is the roof top bar that was great too but gets very crowded, however it is a must do if you stay. It is in the heart of the city and as such has many conveniences.

Great location, staff quite friendly, little price

Posted 03-Aug-2014
Pros: its location . the staff was wonderful.
Cons: it needs to be refurbished. I had such a backache from slab bed. Rooms are small for two people and we even upgraded. That was NOT a kingsize bed
Location: You are in the heart of London. Everything you need is right there. Theater, good dining, buses, tube, good bakeries
Beds are SO uncomfortable, rooms border shabby, there is nightclub in hotel, so it gets quite congested and noisy

Fantastic hotel!

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, customer service and roof top bar.
Cons: It would be wonderful if there was a pool or sauna etc.
Location: London Eye, Picadilly Circus, Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Leicester Square, Soho, Chinatown, theatre district.
Me and my husband stayed for one night only but we had a fantastic time. Hotel is boutique style and impressive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we felt like nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were a good size especially for a central location, we slept well and it was quiet at night. We also visited the roof top bar terrace for a snack and few drinks. As guests of the hotel we got a really good table with a breathtaking view across London. At peak times and good weather I can imagine its hard to get a table as it was very busy when we were there so book a table if you can. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's also a great location as it's near and in walking distance of so many london attractions ( London eye, picadilly circus, Leicester square, soho, Westminster, Buckingham palace, the mall etc).

Lovely stay

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: The welcome
We had a great welcome as we entered the hotel. One Spanish waiter was especially good. Lovely room and of course the location is superb. We had an upgrade once to a wonderful room with 2 windows looking over the Square. We would love this room again!

A London weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday.

Posted 07-Jul-2014
Pros: As above.
Cons: The façade is very tired and tube and bus information in the room would be extremely helpful. The bathrooms possibly need an upgrade too.
Location: Perfect for everywhere! We walked to Oxford Street, Covent Garden, The Strand and much more.
From the booking to our departure, everything went smoothly. The location was perfect, the staff very attentive and pleasant and the room was perfect, if a little chilly! We even had a view of Nelson's Column. The only downside was the exterior. A little shabby and worn. The rooftop bar was fabulous, well worth a view but booking is recommended.

not very good

Posted 11-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
When my wife and I arrived we found the cold water tap hanging off the wall, iron was filthy inside and spat dirt onto clothes, we reported them straight away and were told they would be fixed immediately so we went out only to find on our return 6hrs nothing had been done we again complained and received a visit from the night manager who apologised profusely, offered change of room but to late at night for that, again promised it would fixed in morning it was, next morning there was no water so had to wait until it was fixed, returned that afternoon to find room has not been cleaned, would not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone.

Great Location shame about breakfast

Posted 05-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in a brilliant central location. The room Are clean and comfortable. We have stayed there a number if times and would recommend it. So what's not so good? Breakfast at £22 each is steep. You can sometimes get a reduction to £14 each if you book on arrival otherwise the higher charge is applied. If all you want for breakfast is toast or cereal it's not cheap especially when you consider that immediately next door to the hotel is Garfunkels offering a cooked English breakfast for £6. We are likely to use the hotel again but not for breakfast unless they review their pricing.
