great location. Tube across the street

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Close to tube Centralized to everything Restaurants close by New hotel Free basic WiFi
This hotel mostly caters to business travelers. The standard room is very small but most rooms in Europe are small. If you are here for vacation and sharing the room with someone, you may not be comfortable. I was a solo traveler and was already familiar with room size limitations so this didn't bother me. The room was comfortability decorated and the bed very comfortable. This hotel is located across the street from St. James tube station, which made it easy to get around anywhere in London. Westminster is about a 4 minute walk away. St. James Park is basically behind the building. This is not a cheaply priced hotel. It was a last minute trip and for the right price, I would stay here again.

Great International Quality Hotel

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: Location is excellent; plus everything else, room facilities etc are great.
Cons: In room Wifi was complimentary (as I expect these days), but was typically flaky. You had to log on each time you checked email.
Location: Visit Westminster!
Not much to say; its pretty pricey as you would expect for Westminster, but it is completely great and lives up to that price tag!

Great stay

Close to Westminster Abby, London Eye, Big Ben and the Thames. Quiet at night, no night life. Hotel was new and the rooms were nice. The only issues were the rooms had no view and the shower leaked on to the bathroom floor. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff was superb and friendly. Afternoon Tea was a highlight. We had a great stay.

Worst Night ever in a 5 star establishment.

Posted 08-Jun-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The decor, far too modern for the part of London where is located
Location: Location St James, very close to tube station and 1 tube stop from Westminister
Staff are rude, hotel lacks warmth and atmosphere, very clinical and would not stay again. Complete waste of money

Stay was good except the bathroom always flood after a nice warm shower. When this happens at night you become uncomfortable to enter the beautiful bathroom. I am not the type that takes bath in a tub so taking showers became challenging and horrifying!

Excellent location, fantastic service

Stayed at the Intercontintental for a week in May 2014. The staff and service are first rate, and location can't be beat. We were able to walk to most of the sights we wanted to see, and the theatres for our shows. The concierge desk was extremely helpful and took care of all of our needs, including theatre tickets, no-wait tickets to Tower of London, car transfers to and from airport, excellent restaurant recommendations, and more. The room was very nice. We stayed on the first floor, interior room facing the courtyard. The beds are a bit firm for my taste, but it was very comfortable and I slept very well. The only downside was some muted noise/vibration at night, that woke me up several times. Once I put in earplugs, all was fine. This hotel is right across the street from St. James station, so I would try a room on a higher floor next time, to try to avoid the noise/vibration issue.
