Excellent Hotel!

Posted 01-Apr-2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable and welcoming without being in your face about it.
Cons: The £2.50 service charge on drinks/food being brought up from the restaurant put us off ordering anything after we realised.
Location: So much to do! Tower of London, the Thames, the Monument, the Gherkin. Plum position on the Circle Line.
We got back yesterday after staying at the Indigo for four nights. It was wonderful. Considering a whacking great building is going up directly opposite, it was surprisingly quiet. The bed was ultra-comfortable, the shower was fabulous, the complimentary drinks and snacks were a real treat (and very handy when we forgot to buy ourselves some water after a long day). Great location too. Tower of London just around the corner and a stone's throw from the Thames. Aldgate tube is hardly any distance and the DLR at Thames Gateway is very handy indeed. All in all, we had a fabulous stay and we would happily go back tomorrow - not to mention telling all our friends to look the Indigo up!

Fabulous Hotel!

Posted 26-Mar-2014
Pros: The very high standard and two minutes walk from the tube station.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Being right next to the city and five minute walk to the Tower of London . A fantastic view of the city skyline and new buildings.
A two night stay was very enjoyable, the hotel is immaculate in every department. From the very friendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff who seemed to take great pleasure in helping you. Sometimes in London hotel rooms can be compact and simple , but our room was very well appointed and extremely comfortable.

Good spot in the heart of the city

Posted 18-Mar-2014
Pros: location, staff. Hassle free.
Location: Decided to try Cafe Spice Namaste; a short walk away for an evening meal. Great Indian food. Sensibly priced for London. Recommended.
Wanted a hotel close to Fenchurch st station and convenient to tube link from Kings Cross. Just a couple of minutes to both. A few nice bars close by. Rooms are good. I can't comment on food as I didn't have any in the hotel. Good Wifi, free! Also complimentary mini bar with snacks and soft drinks. Turned up early to drop of bags but they had a room available; staff really helpful.

Pros: Location, friendly staff, room and facilities.
Only stayed for one night and it really was a first class experience. The reception staff was so positive and friendly and the room was comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. We stayed in an executive room which I would highly recommend.

Pros: Decor, cleanliness.
Cons: Great stay - keep up the good work! x
Location: V close to Tower Hill - Tower of London, St Katherines Docks and the City / Gherkin etc. on District / Circle line and DLR
Really lovely hotel, equidistant from Aldford station and Tower Hill so brilliantly placed for getting in and out of London, and let's be honest Location is so important! Beautiful rooms with an individual touch, nespresso machine, complimentary soft-drink minibar and walk in shower were nice touches. And really lovely staff - very helpful, we could leave our luggage on check out day to wander round London and come back at our leisure, x

Nice Hotel for 1st Trip

Posted 04-Jan-2014
Pros: Cleanliness of rooms, helpful front desk, hotel location to tube stations, newspaper service was a nice extra, and I was able to check in early.
Location: Tower Bridge, Tower of London are both a short walking trip away. The 2 tube stations make it easy to get to several other sites of interest.
This was my first time in London and I tried to find a hotel that would be in a central location for what I had planned. It was close to 2 different tube stations: one just 2 blocks away and the other just a very short walk. This was very convenient. Very close to Tower of London. The hotel seems slightly tucked into the neighborhood, but the other hotels in the area are also. Front desk was very helpful. We needed some advice on getting from hotel to one of our sites to see, and within minutes got several options with costs. We arrived before check-in and our room was ready, which was really nice! (I emailed asking if this could be possible before leaving on trip.) Very nice size room, clean, and basic extras all were helpful. Only downside was hoping for a little better view out the windows of our room. Was on the 3rd floor. Not much time spent in the room though, so this can be over looked. It's just something you always hope for especially when you are somewhere you have never been and are getting away from home. Would recommend depending on your sites to see and how long you are in London.

Great little hotel in good location

Posted 02-Jan-2014
Cons: Can't think of anything except for the British weather!!!!
Location: Good location easy access to DLR, river boats, main line ( Liverpool St Station) only a few minutes walk away as was underground and bus station.
Great hotel in good location to access this amazing city. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, hotel decor good and room excellent with lots of good lighting and as well as free wifi, complementary goodies in the bar which was a nice touch. We Visit the city at least once a year and this is the best stay ever. So pleased to have found this little gem will return.
