Nice hotel close to the Tower of London

Posted 02-Mar-2015
Pros: Great location and a nice, modern, airy boutique hotel
Cons: My room was slightly small - it was difficult to move in the bathroom without playing a game of Twister
Location: Good location - close to the tube (Aldgate) and within walking distance of the Tower of London
I enjoyed the stay. It was in a good location, the staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities good. My only complaint would be that the double room was on the small side.

Lovely Hotel Close to Amenities With Good Links

Posted 09-Feb-2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff, cleanliness, bed, bathroom, links to town.
Cons: The noisy heating system could drive a person mad if no earplugs! Not sure if it is in every room or if we were just unlucky.
Location: Square mile, Tower of London very close, Tower Bridge Experience, St Katherine's Docks, HMS Belfast, monument to the Great Fire of London.
Stayed for 2 nights to celebrate husbands birthday. Room was lovely: good facilities - spotless too. My only complaint would be the noisy heating or water system (couldn't work out what it was) which made odd noises all night. Thankfully we took ear plugs otherwise I think it would have spoiled our weekend away. Close to both Aldgate & Tower Hill tube stations (check TFL website if arriving at weekend for closures to either due to engineering works) it was very easy to get into central London. Staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival. We ate one night at the nearby Thai Square restaurant and had pre dinner drinks at The Three Lords pub opposite. Not cheap but this is EC3! Great service at both locations though. The hotel gave us complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar - still & sparkling water, some cans of fizz and cartons juice. There were also some complimentary Divine chocolate bars, a Kellogs cereal bar and these are replenished daily. Plenty of tea & coffee in the room including a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was really big and included complimentary Aveda mini toiletries. Great shower with a huge plate head and also a smaller/lower head if you didn't want a soaking! Lots of hot water at a good pressure. The area is not so busy at weekends so it was not really noisy outside but again, glad we took earplugs...there is always someone who's had a few beers and can't keep their big fat mouth shut as they pass! Would stay again for right price.

Zentrales Hotel mit Stil :)

Posted 27-Jan-2015

Good location

Posted 23-Dec-2014
Pros: The staff was the best feature. The hotel was small but they make the most of the space they have.
Cons: The lighting in the room could be brighter.
Location: St. Catherine's Docks offered great choices of restaurants. Short tube ride to St. Paul's, Borough Market with Tower of London close by.
A great staff--pleasant, professional, and helpful.

Lovely room and staff!

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: The room was beautiful decorated and very clean.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Didn't really have much chance to explore the area, but we are from London and only stayed one night.
Stayed here one night and we absolutely loved our room! It was spacious and clean which was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The bathroom was immaculate. The staff was excellent and handled everything from booking us taxis and ordering room service. We also got a free late check out by signing up for IHG's reward program.

Fantastic modern hotel in London

Posted 15-Dec-2014
Fantastic hotel in London's financial district. Quiet street with a few pubs and restaurants around it (can't say we ever heard noise coming from them) Handy for nipping out for a couple but not going far. Easy to get to via tube. Hotel itself was lovely, very modern with really helpful staff. Room was lovely with a king sized bed and a wet room like shower/toilet. Room has a large TV with a docking speaker, handy for iPods (I was delighted as it ment we could play Xmas music!) plus a mini fridge with free juice, no alcohol, but coke, diet coke, sprite, water, still or sparkling and chocolate (what more go you want!) also a hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, towel like robes and slippers. Lovely place and would stay again. One thing, I highly recommend avoiding the hotel restaurant, was rubbish. Even though there was only one other person in the place when we was there, we had a long wait for drinks and the food was below average. The only reason we went was because we was extremely tired after our long day walking about but I recommend going somewhere else near by. Other than that, the hotel is fab.
