“Convenient for the airport, decent and clean”
Quick check in - no waiting. Decent sized room, good and clean and very quiet despite the room overlooking the main access road thanks to very thick windows! Was asked to leave a credit card (as usual) for the minibar - minibar empty! Bathroom could do with some updating as some of the floor tiles were cracked and looked like they had been for a while but overall the rest of the room was in good condition. The shower was a little low down and may be a problem for taller guests - it was touching the top of my head and I'm only 5'6" Hotel restaurant - good food and reasonably priced for an airport hotel. Very polite staff - they couldn't be more helpful - excellent. Easy to get back to the terminal for an early morning flight - just get on hotel hoppa H4 for Terminals 1 and 3 and a return for £8 (as of December 2011). Will stay there again the next time we're around Heathrow.
“Almost perfect !”
Excellent overnight venue.Take the free bus to Heathrow Central Bus Station for the tube to central London-currently £5 compared to the very expensive and not greatly quicker Heathrow express which I have used in the past. The hotel staff were most helpful and the hotel was very quiet despite its proximity to the runway. If you don`t want to pay hotel prices for food there is a Co-op store in the nearby garage-turn left as you exit and a decent pub across the road from the crossroads 400 metres in the same direction just before the filling station. Very clean. I`m sure it`s just me but I found the television rather complex to operate. Thanks for a relaxing night.
“Adequate Hotel but nothing Special”
We had an overnight stay here waiting for our connecting flight. The hotel was cheap and one of the closest to Heathrow Terminal 1. Getting to and from the hotel wasn't as easy as I had hoped (last thing at night and first early morning). The hoppa bus which goes around the hotels to/from the airport doesn't really stop at the hotel and therefore you can't expect it to wait around. For such the short distance taxis prices are mental.
“Not impressed”
Do not be fooled by the name...this hotel is extremely inconvenient to get to from the airport. The staff was smug and rude. The rooms subpar.
“Buffet was Devine”
My husband & I stayed at this hotel twice in 16 days. The accommodations were very good. The rooms were a nice size, the baths were large and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered menu items and also had a buffet. We chose the buffet both evenings because of the wonderful choices. The food and service were great. I would recommend this hotel to others and would also stay there again.
“Friendly and convenient for Heathrow”
Check-in was quick and friendly. Even though time was almost up in the restaurant, the staff could not have been more helpful. Overall very impressed by a hotel which must see thousands and thousands of customers each year.
“Not noteworthy”
Although I have nothing specific to complain about there are better options around Heathrow. The hotel is ok but feels a bit tired and a bit past its hayday.
“Reception staff have no idea of good customer service”
Cost a lot for the shuttle bus from T5, took them 15 mins to check us in. Staff very lacklustre. First "non-smoking" room stank of smoke, had to move rooms.
“If in the area I would stay in this hotel.”
good stay.
“not impressive at all...do not recommend”
room is not comfortable and lacking a lot of basic services....location from airport is good via hotel hoppa bus.
