Wouldn't stay here again

Hotel had friendly staff, although the bathroom drain didn't drain. The air conditioning would cut out every 10 minutes, the television never worked, and the beds were like sleeping on wooden planks.

room facing Euston Road

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: central to 3 stations
Cons: upgrade hotel into 4 star rating to compete with comfort. Especially tackle the noise factor / lack of air con.
Location: Location for amenities is fine
Because of location and open window for fresh air, we were treated to a constant roar of traffic and emergency sirens through the night.. Not a recipe for a good nights sleep.... Value for money 2.5 out of 5. For 1 night you can suffer the inconvenenience, but longer, I would look elsewhere.

Pros: Professional staff. Location and simply convenient starting point to go exploring London by way of Underground.
Cons: As a suggestion, perhaps include fruit salad from the buffet breakfast selection.
Location: The hotel is next to Euston Square Underground station and a mere 5 minutes walk to Warren St Underground station. It's very convenient.
Our stay at Euston Square Hotel was a pleasant experience.

Nosiy Central London Hotel

Posted 14-Jul-2014
First of all I have too say that the staff were very acccomodating and helpful. However they looked very overworked and stressed Therr hotel was a typical London hotel of its type - central location but noisy and overpriced The breakfast was hugely disapointing - really substandard for the price. I wouldn't stay here again

Convenient, clean, small

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Convenient to the tube and the British museum. Cleaning staff are thorough & efficient. Rooms are much smaller than what you'd expect in America for the same price, but that's just London. However, Sunday morning the fire alarm went off at 5am, for quite a long time. There was no apology from the staff, and no gesture to make up for the horrible inconvenience of disrupting their guests sleep. At a bare minimum, I would have expected them to turn on the breakfast coffee pot early for the guests that couldn't go back to sleep, but the desk staff was simply inconsiderate and blind to the problem.

Pros: Breakfast
Location: Two shops and several Indian restaurants nearby.
Good breakfast small rooms and toilet/shower but location makes this a good option to see London.

Euston Square Hotel is a clean modern hotel. I especially liked that the hotel had easy access to National Rail to the North (via Euston / King's Cross / St. Pancras) and the London Underground. Overall I thought that the hotel was comfortable and had a nice aesthetic. Breakfast was a little spare (continental only).

Good location for station, but very noisy.

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Hotel staff was courteous and caring. Good breakfast.
Cons: They could sound-proof the windows.
The room was so noisy that I couldn't sleep all night. Its a good location, but I can't recommend it as a place to get a good night sleep because of the constant noise.

Accessible location

This hotel is very basic in decor and amenities but it is highly accessible to Euston and Euston Square stations. My single room was smaller than expected but it was clean and comfortable. The shower cubicle was very 'compact' and the shower wasn't working properly and was in need of repair. I booked the room through Expedia for £108 per night so I expected a bit more. However, it's entirely possible that my expectations were unrealistic and the room may well have been good value to others.. I found the young men working at the reception desk to be lovely, helpful, professional and polite. I was booked in for two nights so although basic, it was just somewhere to sleep after two long days at a conference. I found the single bed to be comfortable. One thing I have to say I was disappointed in was the standard of the inclusive breakfast. There was a continental breakfast 'buffet' which consisted of bread, cheese slices, ham slices, hard boiled eggs, pastries, juices, & tea/coffee. I asked if it was possible to get a cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs. I was told 'Yes' but it would be an additional £6 which I was more than willing to pay. However, within minutes, I was politely informed by a staff member that kitchen staff said it wasn't possible. Also they didn't hold any teaspoons and I heard several others guests asking for one also. The hotel's okay if you don't mind a no frills experience but it's not the place to stay for a romantic weekend.
