"Really well equipped house with beautiful surroundings. After clear instructions of how to arrive and check in we felt warmly welcomed with fresh flowers and some chocolates from Oban. Plenty of lovely walks nearby, but the house was also a great place to use as a base to explore wider, from a trip to Oban (picking up more chocolates!) to a walk up Ben Cruachan. We’d love to stay again and continue to explore. Huge thanks to Fiona and Andy for being such great hosts!!"

"This place is like one out of a fairytale. Most spacious! The property owner cooked amazing l meals and brought them to the room herself! They are wonderful people to meet! There are so many places within walking distance to see and enjoy in the area. The people who lived on the island are so very kind and gracious! Absolutely stunning home! Full of jacobite history for those Outlander fans! It was the best vacation i could have ever wished for!"

"Quaint little cosy cottage, equipped with everything you need. Wifi good, heating good, wood burning stove just lovely in the evening. Communication with owner perfect - especially when we managed to accidentally lock ourselves out, eek! - thanks for your kindness Mike. Surrounding areas fantastic for dog walks - Pucks Glen, Benmore, Ardentinny all highlights for us. Kilmun arboretum just a few steps along the road also well worth a visit. Would highly recommend, and will return!"

"The lodge was perfect for an outdoor family like us with dogs. Location is quite remote but that's what we like. We'd advise going stocked up with food and drink before going. there is a pub within walking distance with pub food and a great pool table. Meals were after 6pm. The lodge was very comfortable with everything you need. Having the sauna was fantastic especially after a long day out. There is a lot do do around the area but do expect to drive here and there. "If you could use a respite from a hectic life or packed vacation or - well, from anything, actually - and if your idea of a "respite" is fresh air, gracious hosts, adorable farm animals, friendly dogs and a clean, cozy cottage, I can't imagine you'd do any better than this. It has it all, plus country walks and reasonable* proximity to points of interest and delicious seafood. The cottage is fully equipped with modern conveniences but will make you feel a world away. "I had wonderful weather and the hosts could not have been more helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Only 2 criticisms: the mirror in the bathroom should be a few inches lower. I am 5ft 2 inches and could only see the top of my head and pepper and salt would be very nice."

"Particularly enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort of the accommodation. The maps for walks in and around the estate were an unexpected bonus, which was taken full advantage of. A surprising coincidental connection to the estate owner. The flapjacks were the best we'd ever tasted (recipe?)! The only disappointment was the DVD/CD player incompatible with the TV/sound system, so were unable to enjoy the music and movies we'd brought. Otherwise, a well deserved 5 stars!"
