Breakfast - all three courses at the same time left at your door - eating cereal first meant cold bacon sandwich and cold toast. Run for the proprietor not the guest. "

"Some resident/or residents used the toaster just after 7am Saturday morning so this was a bit distressing rushing downstairs then back upstairs to help a family member downstairs ( mobility issues) Other than the above room was clean reception lady was lovely cleaners were friendly. Thank you but perhaps a talk to residents about safety while using facilities "

"Lovely place to stay, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Oban. No traffic noise and a comfy bed means a good night's sleep. Friendly welcome and departure. No dining, but only two mins walk to local cafe/bar for an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended. "

"We enjoyed how warm the room stayed, considering it was chilly and windy outside. The room also had a sink in it which was very convenient. The staff was short and rude with us and unaccommodating, which is our only complaint of the facility. It is a very bare bones place so if you are simply looking for a place to rest your head at the end of the day, this is a good choice."

"Lovely, quirky little hotel set close to main town centre. Parking is at the local carpark so have to pay during working hours but it's just up the road so easy to access. George was very helpful about restaurants, pubs, etc. Room was at the top front and very comfortable albeit quite small and we were at the top so stairs could be an issue for some guests. Lovely view over Oban bay so well worth the climb. Al in all great ttle hotel for a short visit. "

"Handy for Rothsey, and a lovely old building. My room was facing the harbour and an interesting view. Tired in places, chair was very wobbly, and doors etc as you would expect in a property of this age. However, the retro-fitted en-suite was good, and nice and clean. Felt like carpet had not been hovered. The Scottish breakfast was nice and not too overwhelming. Just right. The guys running the place were really friendly and polite."
