"Newhaven is a spacious house with a lovely garden in a brilliant location in Porthleven. There is lots of room downstairs with a kitchen, separate dining room and living room. Upstairs two good sized bedrooms, plus a bunk room which is suitable for young children. The house could do with a bit of TLC but that is reflected in the price. We had a few concerns at first but the landlady responded immediately to everything. With two toddlers and two dogs in our party we found the location only two...

"Great holiday, bungalow had everything we needed (even pasta bowls which you seem to rarely get for some reason!) and even a pint of milk in the fridge which was a huge plus after driving down from Manchester! Plus marks for the comfy sofa and Netflix and HUGE brownie points from my son for the WiFi. The weather didn't entirely behave but we managed to explore the area and as parking is right outside allocated for each bungalow there was none of the stress you get when staying on some caravan...

"Fabtastic location for coastal path walks. 20 minute walk into the village- The Galleon fish and chips are brilliant and we had a lovely dinner at The Old Inn. Also, you can go over the driveway to Polurrian Hotel for drink and use the spa. We found some aspects of the property a bit tired but every thing you beed for your stay. Could do with more hanging space for clothes is staying longer than a few days. The access to the secure garden was tiresom with our puppy - the patio door in the back...

"We had a wonderful week in Myrtle Cottage. Maurice and Barbara were great hosts. Gave us some good local advice on places to go. They were very friendly and hospitable. The cottage was ideally situated for exploring the Lizard Peninsula. We would highly recommend and would love to return."
