Henrietta, The Coach House, Cadgwith

Set in 2 acres just off the SW Coast Path in idyllic traditional fishing cove Cadgwith on the Lizard Peninsula. Short walk to beach, pub & cafe in unspoilt cornish fishing cove. Perfect for couples.
The carriage was brought to Cadgwith in the 1920s by an employee of Great Western to provide holiday accommodation for their family, and is believed to have been built in 1874.
Henrietta comprises of 1 double bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom with a bath. She sits beside a small stream, with a beautiful quiet streamside private garden. Guests are also welcome to make use of the 2 acres of garden, with free range ducks, chickens and and 3 mad pygmy goats! There is also another carriage, 2 further lets and owners accommodation on the site, which all provide private gardens with outdoor seating, bbq etc.

Perfect getaway

Fantastic location and lovely property

Loved it , quirky and unusual with fab history. Decor was great. Host was excellent and we had lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival and popped over to say hello and provide some local knowledge. We loved how quiet the location is . Perfect for a weekend recharge and to explore the Luzard peninsula.

Quaint and unusual

Lovely and quiet, out of the way. Great hosts, lovely pub just down the road Cadgwith Cove Inn, with some of the best food I have had in a long time.I would definitely recommend staying here.

Simply lovely!

We love staying here! Henrietta is lovely, cosy and well equipped for her size. A welcoming cream tea is provided as a welcome from the host Paula. Dogs are welcome too. Easy access to the coast path - just under 5 miles to Lizard point. Will definitely be visiting again.

The property and surrounding area exeded our expectations. Overall a very enjoyable 7 day's holiday.

The property suited our needs. The owners may want to consider putting a shower cubicle in the bathroom as the bath was to small for our liking and a little awkward using the hand shower.

Charming and peaceful retreat

Henrietta is lovely and comfortable with everything you would need for a relaxing break. The lounge has large windows looking into the woods with a small stream trickling by and a hedge screened private garden. Its quirky without compromising on comfort. The site is very good and walking distance to the cove, which has a great pub with daily fish specials from the local boats. Very tasty. We would stay here again.

Our railway carriage was set in a secluded part of a two acre setting, bordered by a wood and well tended gardens. The carriage itself provided the double bedroom and compact but well appointed kitchen, with an extension providing a spacious lounge, storage and bathroom. It was perfect for the two of us with a short walk to a lovely pub/restaurant and as a base to explore the beautiful surroundings. The owners were helpful and friendly.

An absolute delight!

We stayed for two nights in lovely Henrietta. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The carriage is decorated so perfectly, making the most of the space. Sat looking out at the woodland just added to the charm, listening to nothing but birds and the stream. We wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

My carriage awaits, "Henrietta".

Stay was amazing, less than 60 seconds walk from coast path & a few minutes walk to the local pub for evening meal's'. Everything you need for a getaway, Paula the host was very helpful & nothing was to much trouble & "Henrietta" the carriage was a absolute delight to stay in. Wonderful carriage house!

A beautiful carriage house with a private garden and a little stream nearby. It is very cosy and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural setting. The host, Paula, is very welcoming and makes sure that you have everything you need. Additionally, the location is great as it is easily accessible by car to most destinations throughout Cornwall. I highly recommend it.
