This hotel was recommended in the Rough Guide so when there was just one room available for our dates, at short notice. I snapped it up - and we were glad we did. Yes, it lacks a bit of character but the upside of that is that the facilities and furnishings are very modern, and spotless. And yes, it's on a main road and is a bit noisy from the trams - but the obvious upside of that is that the trams are very close. However, the best thing is the position, and it isn't necessary to use public transport at all for the main sights. The rooms are a bit small, but the price is very reasonable for a city-centre hotel. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast buffet is varied and served in a very pleasant room, though our only slight quibble is that the coffee, orange juice and croissants are are usually better in Italian restaurants (but again, it's reasonably priced). The hotel doesn't do evening meals, but there is a superb restaurant next door that does - we went there for each of our five evenings! There is also, unusually for a city-centre 3-star hotel we think, a very pleasant bar. There is a charge for wifi but at least one nearby café has free wifi.
This cute hotel is situated in the heart of Milan, 12 minutes walking to the Duomo. If you don't want to walk, that's OK, the tram has a stop just across the street. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. Overall, a five star experience!
"Beautiful modern hotel with an excellent location"
Choose either the deluxe room or executive. The old rooms arent good at all. However, they just renovated many of them but i didnt try the new ones yet. The hotel is lovely though some of the staff werent very freindly maybe because they were very busy and over booked. I woulf always stay there.
spacious room by Euro standards, ultra clean, 5 minute walk to airport (Malpensa) train and to Duomo. Across the street from local tour company. Only mild complaint, breakfast could have been a bit better.
We only stayed one night during our recent vacation but we found this hotel to be quite nice. It's located on a main thoroughfare but they put us on the 6th floor on the side so there was no traffic noise at all. Very friendly staff, great breakfast included in the rate, and it looked like the hotel had been recently renovated. Everything looked new! Within easy walking distance to the Duomo Cathedral and its upscale shopping area. Our room was small (as were all our rooms in Europe) but very modern and comfortable. Only negative was the $26 Euro for overnight parking, but that is pretty standard when you have a car and stay "in town". We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed in a suite to enable use to share a room with our son. Requested a quiet room and 228 certainly was. Extremely comfortable beds in a spacious, high-tech room. Very clean accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Slight quibble would be having to pay for WiFi which regularly dropped out. Not cheap but you are in an expensive city! Overall an exceptionally good city hotel.
"Beautifully designed hotel with friendly service"
We flew out of Milan on our recent trip, so we just stayed on night at the hotel. I was VERY pleased with the hotel upon check-in. It's a gorgeous property! The downstairs bar area is beautiful and the rooftop bar has amazing views. The room was spacious and even the hallways were visually appealing. I spoke with two people at the front desk for directions/recommendations and both were extremely nice (and patient, as I got my bearings). If I were to come back, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
