"We enjoyed our time here; Richard was easy to contact and is very generous with items/ foods etc for us to use. It’s probably the best equipped kitchen of houses we have stayed in. The beds were comfortable, the showers were easy to use and the garden area is beautiful. The ducks charmed our grandchildren and we enjoyed the hot tub. "Excellent property for a large group of adults to explore the Peak District. Six en-suite rooms equally sized so no-one gets the small room! Kitchen/dining area easily accommodates the group and is well equipped. The lounge is enormous and has great views. Loads of walking from the Chapel or a short drive away. Pictures/description of the property can't do justice to the wow factor. Would definitely recommend."

"Lovely clean spacious bungalow. We love this area, and have camped here many times, but as a larger group than usual and due to the time of year we decided on staying at Monameeth bungalow, very glad we did, plenty of parking space at the back of the bungalow. Great pub and cafe straight across the road, so no cooking unless you choose to. Within walking distance to one end of Lathkill dale, pkenty of other walks close by, short drive to Bakewell or Youlgreave so a perfect location."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Smithy. The location was great & we had fun taking our 1 year old son to Trentham Monkey Forest & Amerton Farm. The only real disadvantage was that all the kitchen cupboards were low down & our son loved to play with them & their contents! But aside from having to keep a close eye on our son, the accommodation fitted our needs & we'd consider coming again next year"

"The house was easy to find and only 6/7 mins walk into town ,the house was beautiful the photos don’t do it justice,the hot tub was a clean and hot ; the only down side was it could of done with some sort of lighting outside around the hot tub as we stayed at the end of Oct and it was dark around 7 o’clock ,otherwise we couldn’t fault anything else."

"We stayed in the house for a week with 6 kids aged 10 months to 12 years. The house itself was amazing with loads of space and activities for the whole family. The house is situated in a perfect location, close enough to walk into the town centre to take advantage of local parks, shops and bars/restaurants as well as being in the heart of the Peak District. For large families looking for a great place to get away together, I would strongly recommend this house."

"Well located, and well equipped (kitchen-wise). Even had a tree up in the lounge :) Please take a look at the slate in the garden. The floor was very slippery due to rain and moss on the tiles."

"We had a great stay here. Plenty of things to entertain kids and adults alike. Plenty of places to go in the vicinity. The house is looking a bit tired in places and needs a bit of TLC in my opinion and although when we first arrived, everything seemed clean and tidy, we felt like it could do with a deeper clean. There were lots of nice touches but we did feel a little bit let down by other parts. Because of this we didnt feel like it warranted the 'luxury' listing. As I said though, we...

"We enjoyed our short stay at the barn. The host Jackie was very friendly and kindly allowed us the use of a field to run the dogs, which we (and they) appreciated very much. There are also lovely walks from the property and Dovedale is only a short drive away. We would definitely return if we are ever up this way again. Thank you."
