"Good hotel in a central position"
Smart hotel. Rooms vary considerably for same price which we found odd. Bar staff need direction! First drink took 25 minutes to arrive. No idea how to make a Mojita cocktail- huge chunks of lime, ice and grotesque amounts of fresh mint still on stalks 'shoved' into a glass. Next day, Second attempt whilst sat in outside cafe bar: Waitor no.1. " sorry I can't serve you from this bar' 2. " sorry it's self service" 3. "O.K. I can't seve you but ... The waitress over there can." 4. Took the order 5. We gave up waiting and complained to the two black suited managers who did'nt appear to do anything other thanwalk in and out of the hotel. 6. We walked away unhappy as we were residents of the hotel and the bar service was quite chaotic.

Pocket Guide: Brussels Grand Place, Brussels Historic Hotels

A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.
