While other reviewers are correct that the windows are double-glazed and thus impervious to sound from the square, the problem is that you hear sound from literally everywhere else. My family room on the 2nd floor (1st European floor) could hear music thumping from the store next door every single day from morning until 11:30pm. Not great for any kind of attempting sleeping in or resting during the day. The floors are all old wood (no carpeting put down in halls) so you can hear every step and furniture scrape upstairs as well as people going down the stairs, since the stairs cut through your bathroom. One night at midnight the hallway was invaded by giggling teenagers, and with reception gone at 9pm, there was no recourse. When I mentioned this to them in the morning, they just shrugged. Overall, every time I asked them about any issue, they just shrugged, without any apology.
The bathroom had a smell of sewage that others have mentioned and uses the (expansive!) space very poorly - the sink is a few inches deep and barely larger than a laptop, despite there being so much more space. I had to turn sideways to enter the shower cubicle, and my head nearly touched the ceiling in many places. I'm barely 5 feet (150cm) tall.
The place advertises itself as eco-friendly (using rainwater for the toilet, for example), but still gives you plastic cups all individually wrapped in plastic. There's no thermostat, so you have to either open the window or use the fan to cool down.
