"As a single traveller it's lovely to have a true single room that doesn't feel as if it's been squashed into the last piece of space available. Everything you might need has been thought of. "I booked the cherry barn for my partners birthday as I wanted him to have a quiet relaxing weekend away and it was perfect. We were greeted with a friendly welcome from Gary and Molly the dog. The accommodation was beautiful, the pictures really do not do it justice. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast, especially the sausage served when requested each morning. "Met up with a friend at this delightful guest house. Louise is an excellent host and was very informative about the area and where to visit. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and set us up for the day. Room was clean and well presented and Louise thoughtfully gave us an extra heater as it was a chilly day. Can highly recommend."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Lion . We had our own car parking space . The breakfast was outstanding . Very hot plenty of it and delicious. The only downside was they didn’t do meals in the evening. But they are ready to recommend places that do great meals ie The Old Castle. We would definitely stay there again."

"The room I had was a bit strange, very little space in the bedroom, but a large bathroom - strangely with a tiny shower cubicle. Still, the staff were friendly and the bed comfortable. I was staying here for business, so only serving breakfast from 8.30 on a weekday meant that I wasn't able to take advantage of the included breakfast. I heard one other guest with the same issue whilst I was there - maybe worth a rethink?"
