Perfect holiday! The Gambia is a very safe and welcoming country, tourists move freely, you could literary sleep on the streets. This hotel is situated in the tourist area meaning you get everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable from renting a bicycle or a car to booking tours. Our room had a sea view which was very nice, the hotel was also close to the monkey park so we just walked down rather than paying for a taxi. We was entertained almost every night at the hotel with performances from Gambian dance groups etc. If you fancy wildlife, beach, place like home, safe and friendly environment, nightlife then consider senegambia beach hotel. Lots of tourist frequent here all year round although it gets busier from October through March I think. Don't except too much as this is a developing country-had to change room on the 1st day because of a cockroach, reception is very hot and is the only place to access wi-fi, you deposit money for a plug to use to charge your phone which gets refunded though. With all the cons I will still go back as I had the best holiday of my life.
The hotel is really beautiful with a nice pool, comfortable room and a great spot on the beach. It's on a beach strip that hosts other hotels, so It is a great tourist destination. It could use a little more upkeep, but for the price it's in pretty good shape. There is a cute book swap station and salon/massage services. Be aware that the food and extra services are indeed pretty expensive. WiFi is not included. Overall, however, the friendliness of the staff made up for any minor faults.
Good quality hotel with all necessary faciliites for a good business stay. Wierdly there is no desk in the room whcih make working a little tricky but on the whole, a great hotel to stay if your on holiday or working! very comfortable.

The hotel was very nice, wonderful, room size perfect, i was the only one who booked, but can bet will fit perfectly for couple, room very clean and the cleaners came every day to clean and change the bed spread and towels(bed need to be changed from spring to wooden support for the mattress, reason the back need to be flat when sleeping and not sinking, pls note spring was perfect, but wooden frame better), chairs to sit was provided. hotel surrounding was properly maintained, always clean, breakfast super, eat as much as your stomach can take you(although it was only bread and so many different complement to your taste for breakfast), nice chef, although i could not blend to Gambia food, but the little i eat was perfectly good, and they asking if you enjoyed your meal, if you slept well, pool was clean throughout my stay, and lawn was properly taken care.
All staffs were wonderful, most especially my good friend JJ and the chief chef.
I recommend the hotel to all
An excellent hotel, with good rooms and extremely friendly and curtious staff. Not 5 star by European standards by any means but a very good quality african hotel. Cape Point is a very good location, with a few restaurents, bars, and a small market and money changer nearby. £1 beer between 5:30pm and 6:30pm each day during happy hour and evening entertainment each evening (if that is your thing). Also a choice of two restuarents and an form of all inclusive option is also on offer (not my thing at all - but seemed popular!)

We were recommended to stay here by the African Commission on Human Rights while we were attending a conference. Although the hotel staff were very friendly, the security staff stopped several friends from Cameroon on two occasions in my presence and asked them for proof they were guests. They never asked me (white guy) and I found out they stopped my friends on three other occasions when I was not with them!
Not good for guests who were there for 10 days. I complained to the management and it happened again. Staff told me there is a law against racism in the Gambia and they do not see their behavior as a problem. Even when the Cameroonians talked about and told them how they felt....they still did not get it.
Advice to management and staff..train your security people to get to know you guests while protecting the hotel and if you are African or African American I would choose another hotel for now. My friends were appalled at how they were treated by fellow Africans.
