"Met up with a friend at this delightful guest house. Louise is an excellent host and was very informative about the area and where to visit. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and set us up for the day. Room was clean and well presented and Louise thoughtfully gave us an extra heater as it was a chilly day. Can highly recommend."

"Lovely b&b. Fantastic 3 course meal. Highly recommended. Kate is a super host. But the two dogs beg at the breakfast/dinner table. They need to be kept in a separate room while guests are eating. Breakfast was disappointing. Cooked breakfast consisted of 2 streaky bacon,burnt sausage and a fried egg with yolk overcooked. Make sure you ask how you want your eggs cooked. First morning we asked for scrambled egg which were perfect! Also the bedroom door needs a proper key lock on it. Everything...

"Lovely hotel. Rooms were beautiful,clean and comfortable. Hotel good was excellent. The only issue we had was there was EXTREMELY load live music pulsating through our rooms until 11pm which did spoil the stay."

"Chris and Val are excellent and friendly hosts and can provide you with a plethora of local information on places to visit and eat at. It was a pleasure to be able to stay with such a nice couple. The only thing to note is the Shower Room is a little tight but, you do not stay in the Shower Room and this should not put you off staying. Once again, thank you to Chris and Val especially for the excellent and plentifull breakfasts and scones. "

"Easy online check-in no problem getting our key on arrival. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. The staff are so polite and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing and reasonably priced.This is our second time staying at the Fallow Field and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend."

"We arrived while the hotel was under construction so skips, unfinished work being carried out, the hotel does have character being an building inside does need attention carpets, replacement of spindles on the stairwell our room did need work in the bathroom (toilet flush loose new grouting needed ) and the floor boards very noisy when walking on them ( making it annoying for the people underneath) the garden does need attention (looking tied) the staff were friendly and the lady at reception...

"Upgraded to deluxe room on arrival, albeit in a modern part of the hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast perfectly adequate if unexceptional. Can't rate the restaurant as it was closed on the day we arrived (Mondays) and since we were the only booking on the next night, so not viable to open the kitchen for just two covers, we were asked to eat elsewhere."
