"It was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The only negative was the bed- the mattress was so hard on my bed I woke up with a bad backache and had to reposition. My travel companion said her bed was too soft. I wish we had switched, but I don’t think mine was going to be comfy for anyone!"

"Check in was easy, however, was not told about every other day cleaning. Floors in the room were filthy. My new white socks are grey! Didn't have conditioner in shower. Asked 3 times. Staff was very friendly. Valet app worked sporadically ."

"The Fairmount is an interesting place. The old building has been nicely renovated, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is attentive. The layout is odd, with no real reception or lobby area to speak of. The location is great, close to the River Walk, but construction was going on in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, making access complicated. They had valet set up which was helpful. The rooftop bar and on site restaurant are great amenities. "

"This hotel was a great find! You are right next to the Alamo and so many restaurants and shops. Parking is valet only but they were a great service!"

"It was an absolutely lovely place to stay. I would suggest using white noise at night to help mitigate the sound from the street but the place is fantastic! I highly recommend! We would absolutely go back! A !"
