“Good hotel”
Convenient location to conf center and riverwalk
“wait for remodel to finish Noisy”
too much Jack hammering during the day and I was jet lagged !
“Will "Definitely" go back!!”
The Hilton Palacio Del Rio is a BEAUTIFUL hotel, that is extremely clean & comfortable!! The rooms are very modern & the bed was quite comfortable! Our balcony overlooking the riverwalk was a wonderful place to sit in the mornings while having coffee or in the evenings with a glass of wine. We Very much enjoyed our stay & the staff was by far the friendliest staff of anywhere I have EVER stayed!! We accidentally left a brand new under armour jacket & a new pair of black high heels in the closet when we departed. I called the hotel immediately when we realized that we had left them behind & not only had they been turned in to "lost & found", but the gentleman I spoke with, was more than happy to ship our things back to us & "at the hotels expense"!! I will definitely be going back!!!!!
“Classic "International-style" hotel, still in great shape”
You'll still find a trace of Mad-Men charm in this now-vintage hotel, but you won't have to sacrifice any contemporary hotel comforts and expectations.
“later may be better”
hotel under construction to noise in our room!!!!!!!!!
“Very good Hotel”
Great location (right on the River Walk) to see San Antonio. Parking is a problem as you have to park in a parking garage not too far from the hotel. Daily rates are not cheap and valet service cost even more. In spite of the parking I would stay there again.
“Riverwalk Bliss”
Loved the hotel. The location was perfect. The parking was outrageous at over $30 nightly but the great customer service more than made up for it!
“Would recommend to a friend!”
The hotel was very nice. The view from our balcony, although on the opposite side of the River Walk, was Great. We stayed on the 20th floor which was recently remodeled. They were in the process of remodeling other floors but never heard any noise. Parking was a little pricy ($35/day valet) but very convenient. Self Parking is around $22/day and about a two minute walk from the hotel (or thats what I was told). GREAT Location, centrally located to everything! Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The safe and a wine chiller in the room was a plus too. Not a big room but big enough. Again, the balcony/view was worth the price!
“Can't wait to go back”
This is our second time to visit San Antonio and both times we stayed in the Hilton Palacio Del Rio. I love the history behind this hotel and it's the most convenient to everything on the Riverwalk. They are currently doing renovations, I generally stay on the fifth floor, but I ventured up to floors 19-21 to see some finished floors, from what I could tell, it will be great. I didn't ask to see any finished rooms but wish I would have. The renovations is a little more modern and matches that more of other surrounding hotels on the River. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed and I found our room to be spotless when we returned, with the housekeeper even rolling up my curling iron cords nicely!
“Awful”
This hotel was so old it smelled! I would never rate this as a 4 star hotel. I will never stay there again or recommend to anyone.
