"The old reviews did not help!!"
So when my fiancé and I first booked our package I must say I was surprised that I got a 5 night stay along with car rental and flight for 1,600. After I had read the reviews I was upset, a lot of people had negative things to say. But everything was booked and I thought we will made the best of it. Make a long story short the hotel was AWESOME! The continental breakfast was great! They served omelets, waffles, cereal, sausage, juice, coffee, and tea and much more. The staff was friendly and nice! They have a laundry room as well! And a pool. They offer parking for $20 a night and free wifi. Now how many hotels you know offer all those amenities for a great price. It is located 15 to 20 minute drive from universal studios and Santa Monica. It's about a 10 minute drive to Hollywood walk of fame. And a lot of eating places walking distant from the hotel. I must say I did not have any regrets and would def recommend for people to stay at the Hollywood Hotel!

"LA -2014"
Fantastic location, away from the hustle and bustle but easy enough to get to all the main tourist places by car. 5 minutes to get to Pico blvd which takes you all the way to Santa Monica. Wonderful staff and facilities - cocktails in the bar became a nightly ritual! Will definitely stay there again, loved it!!

"Hands down, the best hotel I've stayed in by far!"
You enter The Line via a side entrance full of dudes in white button-up shirts tucked into blue jeans folded up at the bottom. They're very chill and happy to help. You don't get any of that fake hospitality feel from these guys and they all make you feel safe and comfortable, even though your drive into K-Town makes you question your choice of area. At the front desk, super friendly ladies check you in at a perfect pace before handing you off to one of the men from out front to show you to your room and explain its features... all of it without fake accents or pushiness, just down to Earth, genuine people who are happy to help you in any way. After you unpack, you realize you're going to be living in a piece of art. Nothing in this hotel is like any other hotel. Your coffee table is art, your luggage rack is art, your paperweight is art, even the concrete walls that surround you are art and have art on them! Comfy beds, comfy pillows, lots of storage space, good water pressure. What more can you expect from a hotel? Well, they got a 24 hour gym, a pool, even free bicycles for you to use. At night on the weekends, you feel like you're entering some sort of VIP club party... and judging by the cars in the lot, it just might be some sort of VIP club party too. An all around enjoyable experience WILL be had at Line. You will not be disappointed.

"Stayed for Business and a Bit of Pleasure"
Hotel, staff and rooms all very nice. Big efficient business hotel, yet it is well designed and intimate in the public areas. Fitness center on the 4th floor is very nice with big windows facing north to the mountains. The adjacent pool area has a classic view of the City Hall dome. For dinner, stroll through the lobby and out to a public area of hardscape, water features and fountains, west across the City Hall grounds and on a few blocks to the Old Town Pasadena district for many fine restaurants and nightlife. Pounded veal chop at Mi Piace was memorable. Then 15 minutes walking east on Colorado Blvd to the historic Pasadena Playhouse to see a hit play with big league actors. And finally, the pool on the 4th floor, a bit above the city lights, was the perfect place to watch the total eclipse of the moon. We came for business but ended up with a tour of Pasadena and a nice vacation! Really looking forward to another visit!

    Pocket Guide: Los Angeles

Home to a bevy of superstars and wannabes, Los Angeles is a buzzing multicultural melting pot blessed by around 330 days of sunshine each year. Long regarded as the hub of modern cinema, the City of Angels plays host to the film industry's glitzy night of nights, the Academy Awards, each year at Hollywood's Kodak theatre. From the iconic Hollywood sign to the Walk of Fame, there are countless camera opportunities to be had, as well as the chance to enjoy some star-spotting!

    On the big screen

Film buffs will appreciate a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the magic of the silver screen at Universal Studios Hollywood, and music fans should make a stop at Capitol Records' circular tower on Vine Street. The label's studios are renowned for their unique acoustic properties, and are the home of big-name artists such as the Beastie Boys, Frank Sinatra, and Lily Allen.

If the hype and glamour of Tinseltown gets to be a bit too much, take a break at one of Los Angeles' famous white sandy beaches. Stretching over 72 miles, there's something to suit every taste, from colorful Venice Beach to Malibu's epic surfing beaches. Or you could hire an open-top car and take the Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica past LA's multi-million-dollar beachside mansions. This state highway offers one of America's best scenic drives, from wild coastal scrub to expansive beach views. And with a mild year-round Mediterranean climate, you'll find it easy to while away a lazy afternoon in the sun.

    Multicultural mode

As the second-largest city in the United States, and with more than 220 different languages spoken by its residents, Los Angeles has a truly diverse identity. Used as a backdrop to films including 'Rush Hour' and 'Lethal Weapon 4', Chinatown is the perfect place to catch an independent art exhibition or sit down to a Peking Duck.

Step back in time along Olvera Street, regarded as the birthplace of Los Angeles, where Mexican and Latino culture is kept alive with traditional market stalls and restaurants. Or check out the many clubs and karaoke bars (noraebangs) in Koreatown, well-known for its thriving nightlife.

    Rodeo Drive, baby

Of course, Los Angeles is all about retail therapy, and where better to indulge than in one of the city's legendary shopping enclaves. See and be seen along trendy Melrose Avenue, where big international designers vie for attention, or dig out some rare vintage finds on La Brea Avenue. For the ultimate in LA style, have your own 'Pretty Woman' moment on Rodeo Drive, where the rich and famous top up their Chanel, Gucci, and Cartier collections.

A city of style and opportunities, it's no wonder Los Angeles has long been a magnet for travellers and young hopefuls alike. With its mix of fame, glamour, and natural beauty, there's no doubt the magic of the City of Angels lives on.
