"This hotel is a pub with rooms above. It is a period building so has it's quirks but that adds to it's charm. Our room was spacious & bathroom was very clean. Other furnishings a little tired & electrics need updating as extension leads with multiple sockets pose a safety issue. Food was excellent & staff were amazing. Definitely would stay again as in a great location in town. "

"The check in at the property was super easy and friendly. The room was spacious clean and had a big bathtub, as well as it’s own private enclosed patio. The hotel has its own restaurant and is within walking to other restaurants. I, unfortunately, had a stroke while I was on the property and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. "When we first were checking in, there was a slight snafu with our rooms. Our wonderful front desk gentleman, Ben, sent us to the bar for complimentary drinks while they sorted the situation. As we watched, there seemed to be more than one staff problem arising, which Ben smoothed everything out without batting an eye and a smile on his face. "Just a niggle really but our room was too hot - a tiny dormer window in roof, in a very small room. Didn’t sleep well. "

"Stayed in a cosy double for two nights and had a lovely time. Perfectly situated in the town within easy reach of amenities and other sights. Room was comfortable and clean. Restaurant was nice, lovely garden for drinks. Breakfast was a little lacking on the portion size. All the staff we encountered were absolutely amazing and very nice "
