What a delightful hotel, full of old world charm situated in the beautiful village of Broadway. Our room was really cosy, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was served in an amazing dining room with an extensive choice of food to suit all tastes; we were pleasantly surprised. A memorable stay, we would recommend it and hope to return in the future.
Amazing location with beautiful views over the Cotswold. Loads of facilities that we did not get a chance to use.
Ample parking. Rooms were nice but there were a lot of dead flies and daddy long legs. I guess it is quite unavoidable in the countryside.
Breakfast spread and quality was good and there was little to complain.
Staff were friendly but we really didn't have to challenge them particularly about anything to test their response.
This is a resonably-priced boutique guest hotel close to Broadway, U.K. in the Cotswolds. I booked this from the U.S. through Expedia, and the booking logistics worked well. This 1730's manor house is run like a bed and breakfast by the Bowden family. In addition to a clean and spacious room, the proprietors were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was made to order, with a home-made jam selection topping things off. The grounds are lovely and very private. The proprietor made several calls to arrange a cab ride for me back to Moreton-in-Marsh -- about 15 miles away, which is also a village worth seeing (it has rail service to London). Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone who's looking for a great place to stay in the Cotswolds.
Staff are really friendly, and the room far surpassed what I would expect for the bargain price I paid. My only problem would be that our room got a little cold during the night, and we could not find a thermostat or similar to bring the temperature up. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay again!
I was expecting a hotel, instead it was a very comfy bedsit right behind a very fancy pub and restaurant. The complementary breakfast meant I could enjoy an excellent meal in the pub. Good value for money.
We got to reception only to be told we had no booking!!! I booked with Expedia and paid in March but were humiliated with no room and the hotel was full. The weekend was ruined we had nowhere to stay. We also could not get a refund so couldn't afford to stay elsewhere it was a nightmare!!!!!
We had a one night stay. Very good value for money. The evening meal was excellent and reasonably priced, good choice of drinks at bar. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
