We didn't know exactly where we going to stay when we planned our trip and happened upon this this little gem of a guest house in an area of the Cotswold's we hadn't been to before. Our hosts made us very welcome on arrival and after settling into our room we went for a walk in the pretty village and then stopped off at the Farmers Arms for our evening meal. Everybody we met were friendly and made us welcome on our stroll and in the traditional English pub. We slept well in our bed that night and the next day we were served a full English of all local produce that was quite memorable for it's presentation and savoury flavours.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The B&B is in a small classic village in the Cotswolds. For us, it provided a great place to relax and unwind. The staff were the best. Very warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding for both breakfast and dinner. The B&B was previously owned by a race horse trainer and is themed around horse racing. The was perfect for us as my wife is a horse enthusiast. There is a horse training facility about 2 miles away, and we went and watched the horses run one morning. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stay in two different rooms, both Ensuite, but their Superior or Supreme room was very spacious and an outstanding value.

Room spacious, nice bathroom. Overall good service, great breakfast. Plenty of parking. Were in a downstairs room and some noise from people upstairs - clonking on the floorboards but fortunately they must have retired early. Otherwise quiet and peaceful.
This hotel was great and just a short drive from Burford. Even when we were late, due to car trouble, they waited in for us and were very hospitable. Despite our late arrive they managed to meet all our needs for breakfast; including my vegan diet! Wonderful.
We stayed one night of a two week tour of southwest England at this well-run inn. It is located just a short stroll from the centre of the village of Bourton-on-the-Water. There are shops, banks and a good selection of food and drink nearby. We chose to eat supper and enjoy a few pints at the Mousetrap which was the right decision. The food was excellent, prepared from locally sourced product and service was very caring. A good selection of local real ales and fine Scottish and Irish whiskies rounded out the offer. Our modernized room was in perfect condition and we slept well beside the quiet neighbourhood. The included hot breakfast was prepared individually to order. This would be a perfect spot to stay for a few days and enjoy the village life.

We had a fantastic stay at the Cross Keys Cottage. Stow-on-the-Wold is such a beautiful and quaint little village, and the Cottage is a perfect place to unwind and take a break from the stresses of city life. The breakfast was great, the bed was comfortable, and the rooms and bathroom immaculate. The hosts, Roger & Margaret, are so nice and accommodating, and they really put the exclamation point in staying at this B&B. We highly recommend Cross Keys cottage and give it a 5 star rating. Thank you for an awesome experience in our first time to England Roger and Margaret and take care!
