Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds, soft, warm linens, amply sized bathroom with rain shower and excellent water pressure. Our room faced a quiet alleyway, so despite being at the center of everything on a weekend, our room was blissfully quiet. Breakfast is lovely with homemade pastries and juices. "Domus Mariae Albergó is a gem overlooking the sea in Ortigia. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the sea and the sounds and salt breeze were delightful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was at sister inn across the street Staff were very helpful. Location was close to sea wall but not far - a few minutes walk- from restaurants and shopping. "

"It’s an older building, which is to be expected of course. The space (bathroom & bedroom) were really nice and sizable compared to many European rooms we’ve encountered. It’s just due for a bit of an update in my opinion, but I would happily stay there again. Great location and nice value!"

"There was no parking near this B&B. We parked in a parking garage near the waterfront at the entrance to the island of Ortega for 15 euro/day. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the B&B and is worth the walk d/t it’s central location. We also did not have breakfast on site but were given coupons for a nearby cafe. This happened to us a couple of times this trip & we are wondering if it is because November is slower season & it is easier for the host to give out coupons in lieu of preparing...

"Fiori and her husband were amazing hosts and took excellent care of us when an unexpected repair meant we couldn't have the room we booked. They went out of their way to accommodate us, truly first class service! The place itself is lovely, breakfasts were delicious and the location is perfect - easy to explore all of Ortigia or to walk to the train station. Can't recommend staying here enough!!! Don't look any further, just book it!"

"This hotel is somewhat under construction so the living room is not set up well but the staff is excellent, the breakfast options were good (with real cappuchino - not from a machine!) and there is an elevator so we didn't have to lug suitcases up a stairway. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping came in every day. Front desk and breakfast staff were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, markets and a barbershop!"

"Amazing location. Bed linen and bathroom were very clean and bed comfortable but a lot of dust under the bed and on top of cupboard. No kettle. It is located adjacent to a restaurant so very noisy at the weekend evenings. But good value for money."

"Great location and view of the water in this old hotel with poor plumbing (used toilet paper cannot be flushed and is put in a small garbage can beside the toilet). Breakfast (1 croissant and 1 coffee) served in bistro around the corner from the hotel. Staff didn't know name of bistro (Anglo Snack). Reception staff (owner?) sitting in a darkened area behind a high counter in the front area of this first floor walk up was not a welcoming sight."

"Charmerende lejlighed og fantastisk beliggenhed lige i hjertet af Ortigia, den gamle bydel af Syracuse. Værten Paula kan nås enhver tid og svarer omgående på eventuelle spørgsmål. Hun lægger hver morgen en æstetisk tilrettelagt kurv fyldt med lækkerier foran døren til gæsternes opholdstværelse. Mængden af morgenmad er næsten få meget, man føler sig rigtigt forkælet.
