“Centre of Syracuse”
Excellent location, car park available is really useful and the rooms are good good standard hotel rooms.
“Great Location and Hotel”
Siracusa is a great place, in Feb. weatrher averaged 18 oC, lovely blue sky. Would recommend it to anyone. Nice relaxing holiday
“Wonderful stay”
The staff at hotel Roma was very accommodating. We asked for another chair in our room; no problem. In fact they gave us a larger room so we were more comfortably. I recommend taking advantage of the 10 Euros parking fee. The streets were very narrow and it is difficult to park. The hotel is very well situated on the island. The rooms were quite large for Italy. The breakfast was good but we would have preferred a better selection of meats and cheeses. We did not eat in the restaurant because there are so many good restaurants near by and cheaper. Dirving is a bit manic, so be prepared!.
“Quite superb”
We had a lovely room on the second floor, overlooking the square, and with a small balcony. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a small workout room and a restaurant with a standard buffet selection. We dined there one night, and the food and service was fine, though rather more expensive than in some Ortigia alternatives. There is an excellent selection of wines. What pleased us most was that, on our final day, the receptionist immediately accepted our request to keep the room until 2:30pm, as our bus to the airport was at 3pm. It was pouring with rain, so to have continued access to the bathroom was much more convenient than leaving our bags at reception from late morning.
“Excellent location”
Ortygia island [separated only by bridges] is a very nice part of Syracuse to stay in and not too far from the main places of interest. The hotel was very well placed, staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was large with a small balcony. Like all the places we stayed in the breakfast orange juice was not fresh - which seemed a pity in Sicily! But they did make fresh cappucinos which were very good. We would be happy to stay there again.
“Best Hotel in Town”
Excellent position, friendly helpful staff, excellent room. An excellent 10 days spent. Would recommend the place and hotel for an interesting, relaxing break.
“The bells, the bells”
Hotel Roma is a really good hotel with one small problem, being next to the duomo you are woken at 8am by the ring of bells (9 rings during my visit, this might be because they accidently put the clock back or something). So if you want an early start to your days then this is the hotel for you. On a serious note the hotel is of a high standard the staff speak great English and are incredibly helpful, the hotel is centrally located with a short work to most places in downtown Sryacuse.
