"The hotel is a hidden gem! It’s not the easiest place to drive to for the first time, but thereafter the hotel was excellent. The staff were all helpful, pleasant and hard working. The room itself had everything you needed and more for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel was central to walk to the abundance of pubs, restaurants and shops. Planning to return very soon. "

"The lodge was old but very well maintained and lots of fun especially given its turn of the century design and decor. It was like going back in time...in a very good way. "Staff were polite, breakfast good, bar price reasonable and spotlessly clean. Hotel seemed quiet but parking was overflowing with cars parked in random places, I assume people parking here and flying from airport. We were lucky to get a space. There were other cars parked on road outside with several parking tickets. Hotel was good but parking would put me off using it again."

"Property & room were well appointed and maintained. Room seating was uncomfortable as sofa was a sleeper and chair was stiff, but really, most time is spent out of the room. No AC so we were hot when outside temps were in the 50’sF. In fairness this is common in Scotland. Very nice pools - yes more than 1 - plus restaurant and separate informal lounge. Good food, but breakfast hours start at 10. Doting staff. Perfect service. "

"The grounds and the staff were great. The bed was super comfortable and the room appeared to be as well. That is, until it I learned that there was no aircon and they did not have fans. This left me with the option to open the windows the tiny bit they can be opened to cool the room. Unfortunately, this meant a million bugs since there is no netting on the windows. I ultimately had to close the windows, kill as many bugs as I could, and then spend the night alternating between slapping bugs...

"The hotel is well situated and the staff were very helpful. Our room had a very comfortable bed and seemed to have been recently renovated & decorated. There was a table with two comfy chairs looking out to sea which we enjoyed. However the electrics had not been adapted fully to accommodate the renovations meaning there was only one useable socket. The plumbing in the en-suite had also not been brought up to date meaning the toilet was difficult to flush and took a long time to fill up, The...

"Check in friendly and efficient. Room not huge but well designed to satisfy needs for a couple of days. Bar comfortable. Bed comfortable. Compact bathroom with good shower. Location is almost ideal for food drink transport and culture. Certainly would consider using again."
