“comfortable, clean, professional”
good location, comfortable and lives up to Holiday Inn reputation. Wifi facility is available but free for only 30 min. Perhaps could be included as package to attract business travellers. Breakfast was good, though range of food was limited and could have been better. Recommended highly.
“Clean & handy”
Superb clean hotel with friendly staff
“Parking Spaces”
The hotel was as you would expect. The one dissapointing aspect was the parking. Although it says on the site that there is free parking, there are only about 10 spaces and then fill up very quickly. We paid an extra £14 to leave our car in a muti-story car park up the road.
“Aberseen Holiday Inn Express”
High quality moderate price accommodation conveniently located at the top of Union Street. Not much free parking but a multi-storey at the end of the road (£1 per hour until 10.00 unfortunately)
“Good location”
Very helpful staff.
“Great location”
A great place to stay in Aberdeen City Centre if you are on foot or public transport. The hotel has very limited parking and the local multi storey (200m away) and off street parking are very expensive. The traffic wardens are also very hot!
“Nice hotel but...”
Very nice location for the hotel, polite and helpful staff but: - you could smell cigarettes on the 4th floor corridor by the elevator - carpet in my room wasn't clean enough (some stains) - I missed some cheese and ham for breakfast but also there were cereals, bread, jam, scramble eggs, bacon and fruits so it's a matter of personal choice Otherwise clean bathroom, ice machine by the reception and well supplied bar. No parking space provided, you have to park your car on a car park near by and pay an extra fee (we paid for overnight parking (Fri - Sat) and 2 hours of next day about £3).
“Enjoyable Stay”
I stayed 5 nights at Express by Holiday Inn City Centre, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very good, but did not vary too much over the course of 5 days. The location on Chapel Street is within walking distance of Union Street and a number of restaurant options. I would highly recommend this hotel, and would stay here again if I am ever in Aberdeen again.
“Absolutely Impressed by Aberdeen Express”
Almost everything about the hotel was as expected. We got an excellent rate through Expedia and can't complain about value for money. Front desk staff were excellent throughout the stay and the housekeeping staff were fine but communicating with them was difficult due to langauge differences. Great to get a breakfast included in the price and it was a good selection. However, the sausages were cheap and the scrambled egg sometimes had black bits in it. The room was great, very quiet and it was nice to have a sofa facing the TV, rather than having to sit on the edge of the bed. Speaking of the bed, this was the let down. Merely a double and very bouncy. Pillows caused your head to roll off, as they were fairly firm. Shower room excellent and the shower was easy to use, could do with a soap dish 'though. We would be happy to return if ever I need to go back to Aberdeen. Finally, it was fantastic to get free parking in a city centre hotel. However, there are only a few spaces and they are tight to get into. I was lucky enough to find one on the first night, leave the car there for the week and catch the bus each day - sorry to anyone who needed a space.
“Good value hotel”
Overall a good value for money place. Everywhere is clean and tidy. Breakfast is more than adequate as it is buffet, so you suit yourself. Only letdown is the noise in the early hours of morning when the clubs empty and evryone goes to the bread shop across the road from the hotel.
