"This hotel is a pub with rooms above. It is a period building so has it's quirks but that adds to it's charm. Our room was spacious & bathroom was very clean. Other furnishings a little tired & electrics need updating as extension leads with multiple sockets pose a safety issue. Food was excellent & staff were amazing. Definitely would stay again as in a great location in town. "

"When we first were checking in, there was a slight snafu with our rooms. Our wonderful front desk gentleman, Ben, sent us to the bar for complimentary drinks while they sorted the situation. As we watched, there seemed to be more than one staff problem arising, which Ben smoothed everything out without batting an eye and a smile on his face. This guy, Ben, is a credit to any establishment, as his customer service skills are exemplary.. every time we saw him over the course of 4 days, he was...

"Stayed here for 2 days as we explored the Cotswold area. We had room 29. Spacious, but had low beams in room so watch your head if your tall. Heat was turned off when we got to room on a cold day. Took 4-5 hours to get room warmed up to comfortably temperature. Had nice meal in their bar and beakfast was good. Friendly staff. "

An easy walk to shopping areas of the Promenade and High Street, and for Montepellier Park for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. "Nice small, clean, cosy hotel, characterful but modern, ideal for visiting Blenheim Palace area. Parking off road at front. Room spotless, has everything you want. "Lovely grounds and area. The room was of good size and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, it had been a hot day and we didn't check in until late. We found the room boiling hot as no windows were opened. There was a fan in the room which made a incredibly loud racket and the doors to the balcony wouldn't open. We slept not well as a result of how hot it was. I'm sure our experience was a one-off but my feedback was brushed aside at check out. "
