The hotel was clean and well kept, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with the lock on our room door which was speedily rectified (in under 10 minutes) and we were then offered a free drink at the bar and free breakfast to compensate! Staff could not have been more customer-focused.
The hotel is well located for a quick walk into the town with its many bars and restaurants, and I would definitely recommend it.

A basic hotel but comfortable and clean. Great location in the old town. It had wifi but we had trouble logging on. The hotel has parking but be weary a small car is preferable, there are lots of small one way lanes to get around and it can be hard to find. The hotel did e-mail me directions & maps of how to get in & out which was very good as the GPS wanted to take me the wrong way.
Hotel Sauce is conveniently located in the Old Town, close to major attractions and plenty of shopping and dining options. Unfortunately our stay did not start out well, as we were given keys to our room only to discover that it had not been cleaned following the previous guest checking out. There was no fridge in our room.
Day time staff were on the whole rude and unhelpful, however, evening staff were personable and pleased to answer our queries. Parking is located across the road in a tiny garage. The key is collected from (and returned to) reception each time you require access to/from the garage.

After having looked at all the reviews I was looking forward to staying at this hostal. When we arrived, the father of the owner took our details and he was very pleasant. The room was very nice and clean. Unfortunately, our room was in the first floor, near reception and it was extremely noisy, We hardly had any sleep on the 2 nights we stayed there. When we mentioned it to the receptionist (one of the owners), she simply said "yes, I know it's noisy in this floor. We open the reception door all the times and it makes noises when you do it and with people not having key to the entrance, they always have to ring the bell" - we didn't even get an apology from her.
