"We spent three nights at this hotel and we loved it. The staff is very friendly, there's free coffee on premise and a cute cat to look at when taking that coffee. It is also well located in Amsterdam, near most of the popular attractions. There's no elevator and the stairs are steep, that was not a problem for us but it is to consider. Overall we highly appreciated our stay and would not hesitate to come back here if we pass by Amsterdam again!"

"Located right in the centre of Amsterdam and only a few minutes walk away from the central station is in the perfect place to explore the city. Not your typical hostel, kind of a hybrid with your own (very comfortable albeit small) room and communal showers and toilets. Everything was shiny clean and the bathrooms were routinely cleaned and restocked. Staff were amazing too! Super friendly and helpful at all times and offered us complementary tea and coffee every morning. "

"This stay was perfect for my needs, I traveled alone and felt safe. I spent most of my time outside so i just needed a place to sleep. If you want more of that glamour hotel experience, this is not the place for you. It was so close to everything. Clean space but yes the stairs are stressful when you have to bring up your luggage. Overall, I would stay here again if I were to travel alone."

"We took the twin room. The price was expensive for a small room. The room is very small bit the shower was good and clean. The beds wheee comfortable. There is a coffee machine in the reception that was good.The hotel is in the centre and 5 mins walk from the central station"

"Love the property. Was close to lots of things. The climb was steep to the room but no compalins at all. I would say dont stay unless you can carry your luggage atleast one or 2 flight of stairs. If you are travelling light would definitely recommend it. Will go back if i travel back to Amsterdam."

"Had a lovely stay at the Old Quarter Hotel. The canal view room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the view was great! Staff were all friendly and the hotel cat was very cute. Location is great, 5 minutes walk from Centraal Station and minimal noise could be heard from our room (back of hotel) Would definitely stay here again."

"Melvin was great from the on set of my trip. Understanding and customer focused service from him was much appreciated. He let me use his charger for my stay, very accommodating and honest. It was a little warm in my room which was surprising. Great thing is the windows open nice and wide. Great mattress and pillows. Thanks Melvin, appreciate you fully. Cheap accommodation in the heart of central Amsterdam, it’s true to its rating ( ** ) but the service and location was far superior. "

"I liked the location and honestly didn’t mind the stairs I think it makes it more fun getting up and down. But the bathroom is quite small and caused couple problems there. Other than that it was a great stay! Thank you! "

"We got this hotel last minute and we’re scared it was a bit too much out of the city centre, we were so pleased that there was a metro opposite the hotel which was convenient for us to easily and quickly get to different places in Amsterdam whilst saving our legs up for a long day of walking.The hotel was amazing, the beds were comfy and always clean thanks to the amazing staff.
