I recently had the chance to experience a wonderful stay at the Max Brown hotel in Amsterdam.
From the moment I arrived the hotel staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I got to the hotel rather earlier than I was expecting to and was greeted with a smile by the reception staff. Due to the room not being ready they offered to store my luggage free of charge and provided me with a map of the city.
Upon arriving back at 3pm I was taken up to my room where my luggage was waiting for me. The room itself was clean, quirky in decoration and furnishing and just right in size for a lone traveller or a couple, the bed very comfortable. The hotel itself has a cosy feel to it with books and bowler hats on the walls and, to add to the quirky dutch feel, a bicycle in the lobby window.
The hotel is in a great location and a very safe and peaceful street. Breakfast is continental but unlimited, as is the coffee and tea. A massive tick for me with any hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book again without hesitation. Many thanks for a fantastic, hassle free weekend. I am only sorry I missed the opening night party - the bed was so comfy I fell asleep straight away.
Nice little hotel right in central Amsterdam.
About a 10-15 min walk from centraal station so you won't need a cab to get there.
Rooms are nothing to write home about but they do include a private washroom unlike many other places.
Bring shower stuff like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar of soap since they don't provide this.
But overall a Great value and I would definitely stay here again/recommend to friends
Had a lovely time got to see alot of Amsterdam and explore the culture attractions and nightlife. The hotel was lovely and staff where great only critic was being on the 4th floor and there being no lift but wasn't a problem (the exercise probably did me a favour after all the lovely food we ate and all the alcohol we drank haha) would definitely recommend and I am certain I will come back xxx
My partner and myself stayed in Nadia Hotel for three nights. Location of the hotel was brilliant - 5-10 minute walk from Dam Square and some of the major attractions. The room was nice, nothing fancy but had everything we needed. Extra blanket, safe, fridge and also a fan. The canal view rooms are probably quieter than the rooms on the main road - however that shouldn't be an issue unless your sleeping during the day. During the night the area is very quiet considering how close it is to the main tourist attractions.
Breakfast was basic continental breakfast but just enough to set you up for the day. Staff at the hotel were lovely. Every one of them went out their way to make our stay at the hotel pleasant and comfortable.
We would definitely recommend Nadia Hotel especially if you're in Amsterdam as a tourist and just need somewhere nice to stay (that serves breakfast) and close to the attractions. We will definitely be staying there again next time we're in Amsterdam.
Great hotel, I stayed in the main building on the top floor. The stairs were very steep and there were quite a few of them. However it is brilliantly located for everything, didn't have the breakfast but did enjoy a coffee just before I left, the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels.
Only negative point, small rooms but that's to be expected in such buildings! Our room was very clean and very simple, totally ideal. Staff were kind and helpful, whenever we needed anything nothing was ever a problem. The location was perfect for us, far enough away from all the noise and business of the centre yet close enough to walk to everything. Never had the breakfast but did have lunch and it was delicious! Overall great wee place, definitely recommend and would definitely return!
The ho(s)tel (an interesting hybrid between hotel and hostel) is next to the Amsterdam-Sloterdijk railway station. Very nice but rather small room, looking out over the railroad tracks; the bathroom/shower was clean and towels were provided. Well-insulated with respect to noise. Internet was reasonably fast. Very pleasant staff, and we were able to get our room before the official check-in time.
