I booked before reading the reviews and in my 2-night experience it was no way as bad as the reviews would make you believe. I was dreading my stay but its a great location, good value for money, not too noisy, rooms were clean and modern and staff were friendly. My only grumble is that both lifts were out of action.

Staff was helpful, Air conditioning worked. Elevator was broken for the three days we were there and I did not see anybody working on it. Appears that is has been broken for awhile. Interior needs painting and carpeting needs changing

Room was small hot on road so noisy Shower was useless small hard to use etc etc For price paid larger room with a bath ? I sometimes think Expedia guest gets the worst room in the hotel? Maybe due to the price then it discounted their paying, but I’ve seen a change recently where hotels only use large websites but like a monopoly.

We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms.

Super clean room, I received an unexpected upgrade and it really was superb. Kitchen very well fitted out with everything you might need. The location is excellent and the property manager amazing. Quick with replies and I didn’t feel like anything was too much trouble. The bed was so comfy and the pillows are the best I have ever slept on! The cleanliness throughout the property was fabulous. All in all a perfect 10/10 stay. Thank you
