(595 reviews) Stayed for 2 nights to visit Christmas markets. The entrance to the hotel was clean and smart. We were too early to access our rooms, however we were able to leave our luggage to explore the city. Hotel is in a good location. Not too close to the centre so its noisy but an easy walk to the markets or if you'd rather ,the are transport options very close by. Good Irish pub on the corner, but an even better ,ridiculously cheap Asian/ Hungarian restaurant 2 mins walk away. Check in was quick and easy. We were on the top floor. Our room was clean, the shower had excellent pressure/ heat and the beds were super comfortable! Fantastic nights sleep. There was a strong smell of drains in our friends room, however this was manageable with opening windows foe a short time. Don't think there was anything the hotel could do about this as noticed the smell walking around as well. Also no milk/ sugar with tea/ coffee in room, which was a bit of a nuisance. Breakfast. If you want a good selection GO EARLY! Breakfast is 7-10am. We went down at 9am first morning and there was very little left and wasn't replenished. Following day we were down by 8.20am and there was plenty of choice. Overall a decent hotel with a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a pleasant assortment of hot and cold in a remarkable restaurant right next door to the hotel. Lovely bathroom with heated floor and perfectly hot and powerful shower (very much appreciated in January Budapest temperatures!). I highly recommend Callas Hotel for a pleasant, quiet and trouble free stay in the very central heart of the city.
