(1,983 reviews) This hotel has fallen a great deal since it was featured as 007's home-away-from-home in LIVE AND LET DIE! I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and it just keeps getting worse. This most recent stay was just after Mardi Gras, so I was patient. I spent 3 nights. No hot water, broken elevators, fitness and pool closed and my room was never serviced by housekeeping. I was charged for drinks at the bar I never ordered and the newly refurbished Rib Room was VERY AVERAGE. GET IT TOGETHER OMNI!!! (2,200 reviews) Some very good features included ample power and USB outlets, robes and slippers with turn-down service, and a very nice and professional housekeeping staff. On the negative side, the TV, while large, had no provision for plugging in an HDMI cable for personal premium streaming content, so it was largely unused. Also, we tried the Criollo restaurant on the premises for breakfast and were treated fairly rudely, since even with the restaurant largely empty, we were seated directly next to the setup station, which had a lot of activity, preventing us from carrying on a normal discussion due to occasional dishes falling and general clatter. Sadly, our displeasure was reflected in our gratuity, which was unfair to the server, but my spouse prevented me from voicing our displeasure aloud, and I had no other recourse. We had no other meals there, preferring to take our business elsewhere. We did visit the carousel bar, but never had any luck getting a seat. (1,009 reviews) Absolutely loved my stay here. It was lovely. The property is beautiful, clean and the staff nice. Valet was awesome to work with and always had my car ready when I needed it. Room was large and comfortable with high ceilings and. high end finishes in the bathroom. Quiet and the hallways are large and spacious. Didn't have time while there to try the restaurants but they looked nice as well. (1,005 reviews) Please don’t let my low amenities score discourage anyone. The main problem I had with this location is we were not shown or given all the amenities included in our purchase (spa access, sauna, etc). My cousin and I were very interested in the spa upon arrive but since we saw it wasn’t “included” or notified, we decided to make other arrangements. We met one young man who helped us sadly our last night who worked there, Kendall R, who provided excellent costumer service and also provided us with complementary beignets after housekeeping threw ours away during services. Kendall R made this whole trip worth while and is the only reason I’d want to book again through Ritz now knowing the amenities with purchase.
